Scene 1: Dane’s Home

The story begins with Dane Fisher on a warm spring day laying in bed, barely awake. He raises his head up off the pillow, and turned to the alarm clock that was also going off. The time said, “7:00,” and it was time for Dane to go to school. Dane, got out of bed and walked his way out his door, that was left wide open for the night, since it was extremely hot in his room. He walked his way towards the stairs, so he could walk downstairs to the kitchen, which was to the right of the stairs. Once, he was downstairs, he walked towards his mother, whom was cooking breakfast for him. Dane was in quite a hurry, since he still had to eat and get dressed to get to the bus by 8:00 that morning, so he can go to school.

Dane’s mother turned to him and smiled, pointing to the pancakes that were laid down on a plate by the sink.

Dane’s Mother: Hurry up and eat. You only have an hour before you have to get to the bus.

Dane just looked at her, and grabbed the plate from on the counter, and went to his seat. Once he got to the seat, he sat down and began to eat. But, while he was eating, there was a sudden knock on the door. Dane’s mother went to the door and answered it, and to Dane’s surprise, the person behind the door was Danielle. Danielle and Dane have been best friends since middle school, and they had excellent athletic abilities. Dane was on the varsity football team in the fall, and Danielle was a cheerleader for the team.

Danielle looked at Dane’s mother, and then turned to Dane, whom was eating breakfast at the time. Dane’s mother moved to the side, and allowed for Danielle to walk in and sit down in a chair next to Dane.

Danielle: Hey Dane. Are you prepared for the intense baseball game we’re having in sixth hour? All of the teachers are splitting up into teams, and us students get to play with them on one side. I’m so psyched for it.

Dane looked at Danielle and smiled. Secretly, Dane had a thing for her, but never told her how he felt, since he was a shy person, depending on whom he was talking to.

Dane: Of course. Have you ever seen me when I’m not ready for an intense game of something?

Dane finally got done with his pancakes, so he left the plate on the table, since he was lazy when it didn’t come to school work and sports activities. He walked up the stairs, and left Danielle sitting down at the table, patiently waiting for Dane to be ready for them to go out to walk to the bus stop.

Dane is in his bedroom, and changes into a white south pole t-shirt, and blue shorts. Once done doing so, he walked back down the stairs, ready for school. Danielle rose up from her chair and walked out the door. Dane followed her, after grabbing his stuff for school. They headed down the street on their way to the bus stop.

Scene 2: School

Dane stared at Danielle the whole time they walked, seeing the best time to explain his love for that day. Danielle just looked at him, and smiled. Once, they got to the bus stop, the bus pulled up, and they went to get on the bus. They went up the bus steps, and went to sit down next to each other in a seat near the back of the bus, since it was reserved for them by a couple of Dane’s friends. Dane turned to Danielle and smiled at her before turning his head back to the window, nervously. The bus started up and they went on their way towards the school.

Once the bus arrived, Dane and Danielle got up from their seats, and walked behind a bunch of people so they could get off the bus. Once they got to the front of the bus, they walked down the steps and exited the bus. Then, they walked down the sidewalk towards the school. By the end of the sidewalk, where the cars come through, Dane suddenly tripped and fell on his knee hard, leaving a scrape on his knee. Danielle saw him fall, so he grabbed his arm and pulled him back up onto his feet.

Danielle looked concerned for a moment, as he held onto his arm so he didn’t fall again.

Danielle: Are you all right?

Dane just turned his head towards Danielle and nodded his head to signal, “yes”. They continued to walk to the door, with Dane limping from the pain he is feeling.

Dane: No. But, I will be fine.

They arrived at the doors, and they walked their way into the school seeing all of the different types of cliques that were hanging out in the main lobby. When they walked in, a friend of Dane’s, Robert walked up to them.

Everyone called Robert, Robb, and he was also nicknamed “Fisher.” Robb had short orange hair, and hazel eyes, with a slight smirk on his face all the time. Robb also wore a black leather jacket, and sunglasses, to help him fit into the clique he is involved in. He is one of the coolest kids around and only hung out with the cool kids, and ignored the geeks and nerds.

Robert: Hey you two. Welcome back to school from spring break. You ready for the huge baseball game going on during sixth hour in physical education class? It’s going to be intense. I also heard that our gym teacher, Mr. Sullivan, is going to be competing in the game.

Dane looked at Robb with disgust from having to go back to school, since he despised of school. Dane was also still a little tired since he stayed up late hanging out with his buddies at a party until 2:00 in the morning. He tried his hardest to talk through the pain he was feeling in his knee.

Dane: I was ready, but look at me. Do I look like I’ll be able to compete in this game? I am lucky not to be in the hospital right at this moment.

Danielle then let go of Dane for a moment to test him to see if he can stand on his own. Dane was barely able to stand on his feet. He tried to walk, but limped and nearly collapsed on the floor. Robb just looked at him concerned.

Robb: Well. Are you sure you will be able to stand the whole day?

Of course Dane wasn’t sure that he could stand the whole day. Dane just didn’t want to go to the hospital and have to stay there most of the day. He has also been to the hospital too many times to count, and wasn’t ready to go back at that moment. Danielle followed Dane on his way down the hallway to his first hour to make sure that he doesn’t fall. Danielle being there didn’t do him any good, because a big guy was walking down the hallway, and bumped into Dane. Dane collapsed on the floor, and twisted in mid air and landed on his knee again. This time, he could be heard groaning from the pain in his knee. The principal heard the crash and the screaming, so he ran down the hallway thinking it was a fight, charging through people in the hallway.

Principle: Out of my way!

Once the principal made it down the hallway to Dane’s aid, he stopped and looked down at him. At that point, Dane was rolling around on the floor yelling in pain. The principal grabbed his arm and pulled him up onto his feet, and looked down the hallway at the nurse’s office.

Principal: We’re going to have to check out your knee. It wouldn’t do you any good sending you to the hospital at this point.

He walked him towards the nurse’s office with Danielle and Robb following behind them. They walked into the nurse’s office and sat him down on the bed that was by the wall in the corner of the room. The nurse walked up and looked at his knee, seeing it was severely swollen up.

Nurse: You should have went to the hospital earlier. This could be really serious. Looking at his knee, he may have a badly injured knee, but hopefully he has no broken bones. We have to get him to the hospital as soon as possible, before he falls again and hurts it any more.

The nurse grabbed a stretcher from the side of the room, where she keeps all of the emergency equipment. The principal and Robb lifted Dane up and set him down on the stretcher. They then lifted him up and carried him out of the office. Following behind them was Danielle, whom was concerned about Dane, since it was a really bad case. The ambulance pulled up at the door, after being called by the office people, whom were hearing the groaning from earlier. The principle and Robb set him into the ambulance, since the door was already opened by one of the people standing nearby. Danielle looked at the principal trying to get permission to leave school grounds. The principal nodded knowing exactly what she was thinking. Danielle got into the back of the ambulance and shut the doors. The paramedics started up the ambulance and they went on their way to the hospital.

Scene 3: The Hospital

The ambulance pulled up by the hospital building around ten minutes later. The paramedics jumped out of the front seats, and raced to the backed of the ambulance. They grabbed a hold of the doors, and pulled them open, revealing Danielle sitting next to Dane. The paramedics lifted up Dane’s stretcher with him on it, and carried it into the hospital. Danielle followed them as they went down the hallway and arrived at an open emergency room. There, the doctors escorted Danielle out of the room. Danielle walked back down the hallway and into the waiting room, where she sat down in a chair around the television set. An old man looked at her, with what seemed to be a severely injured arm. That old man had a strange look on his face from enduring the pain revealed by his arm.

Old Man: Hey young lady. What are you here for?

Danielle just stared at him weirdly, with her hands folded in her lap.

Danielle: I came here to watch over a close friend of mine. He fell in the school parking lot, and damaged his knee up really bad somehow.

The old man didn’t seem very interested.

Old Man: Yeah? I accidentally shattered glass on my arm, trying to clean a window. The glass is dug in too far, just to get it out. I might have to have surgery. If those darn doctors would just come and get me so I can get it over with.

Danielle was surprised that the doctors got in and saw Dane before the old man.

Danielle: Those doctors rushed Dane right in since he was in an ambulance. Did you ever think about getting someone to call an ambulance so you don’t have to wait this long?

The old man understand where Danielle was going, so he leaned back in his chair, stupidly, and decided to quit talking.

At that time, one of the doctors came out to the waiting room and looked at Danielle. Danielle looked back with a concerned look on her face. The doctor smiled at her, and waved his hand in the doorway, signaling that it was all right for her to come in and see Dane. Danielle rose up from her seat and walked on her way down the hallway with the doctor. When they arrived at the door of the emergency room, the nurse that was standing in the room, looked down at Dane.

Nurse: All this boy had was rocks that were stuck really far into his knee. We had to surgically remove them.

Danielle looked at the nurse, taking the concerned look off her face and smiled.

Danielle: But, why was he screaming so much?

Nurse: The reason he was complaining was that the rocks were dug in too deep. This caused severe pain in his knee, also causing him to roll around on the floor screaming.

Danielle went to Dane and placed an hand on his shoulder.

Danielle: How long will he be on crutches?

The nurse just shook her head.

Nurse: He will not have to be on crutches. The surgery we gave him, will not affect the way he walks or anything. All he must do is keep from running too much, and rest his knee enough for it to fully heal.

Dane looked up at nurse very pleased at what she had told Danielle.

Dane: So. I can go now?

The nurse nodded her head.

Nurse: Remember. Rest your leg, and try not to run into any more large people in the hallway, or injure yourself anymore. I don’t want to have to see you in this kind of pain again.

Dane nodded, and sat up on his hospital bed. Then, he slowly got off the bed and stood on his feet, walking towards the door. Danielle looked at the nurse and smiled.

Danielle: Thank you.

Danielle walked behind Dane, as he was on his way down the hallway towards the exit doors. Once Dane got through those doors, he looked out into the parking lot and didn’t spot a car.

Dane: Uh. How are we supposed to get back to school?

Danielle shrugged her shoulders, and pulled out her cell phone,

that was attached to her pants pocket. She then opened it up and dialed their friend, Robb’s, phone number. There was a bunch of ringing going on, and Robb finally answered the phone.

Robb: Hello?

Danielle: Hey. We need a ride home from the hospital. Think you can go to the principle and get approved to leave school grounds to pick us up?

Robb: Of course I can. But, I doubt the principle is going to allow for me to leave the school grounds to pick you up. I’ll try anyway. I’ll call you back later and let you know if I can or not.

Danielle: All right. Thank you.

Robb: You’re welcome.

Robb hung the phone up. Danielle looked at Dane and smiled at him.

Danielle: Don’t worry. We’ll have a ride. Either the principle or Robb will come and get us and take us back to school.

Dane nodded, hearing everything Danielle said, and sat down on a bench by the doors. Danielle also went to sit down on the bench by Dane, as the scene ends.

Scene 4: The Principle’s Office

Robb is walking down the hallway towards the principle’s office. Once he arrives at his destination, he raised his right hand up in a fist, and knocked on the door.

The principle heard the knocking and shouted through the door.

Principle: Come in.

Robb opened the door and walked in. Then, he sat down in a chair by the principle’s desk.

Robb: Dane needs a ride back to school grounds. He wanted me to go and pick him up and take him back here.

The principle was surprised that he asked and replied back to him with a pleased look on his face.

Principle: Of course you can go and pick him up. Just don’t let me catch you away from school grounds for longer than thirty minutes.

Robb nodded and stood back up on his feet. Then, Robb turned to the door and walked out into the hallway. All of the students were looking at him strangely, knowing that he was just inside of the principle’s office. Robb just walked away from the students, and headed for the parking lot. Once he arrived at the exit of the school, he opened the door and walked his way across the driveway. Doing so, he went to his car and pulled out the keys from his jacket pocket. Then, he placed his car key into the slot in the door and turned it to the right, unlocking the door. He would then grabbed the handle and twist it, allowing for him to open the door. Robb then got into the car, and placed the key into the ignition. He would then turn the key to the right, starting the car up. Robb would then step on the pedal and start driving out of the parking lot on his way to the hospital.

Scene 5:

Dane and Danielle are still sitting on the bench, almost falling asleep, when Robb pulled up in his mustang. They got up slowly, being tired, and walked to Robb’s car. Robb reached to the back car door and pushed it open, allowing for them to get in. First, Danielle got in, and slid all the way to the right by the other door. Then, Dane followed her, and sat down in the seat next to her. Robb turned to the back of the car, looking at Dane.

Robb: I guess you won’t be able to compete in that baseball game later today?

Dane shook his head.

Dane: No, sorry. The nurse asked for me to try and stay off my feet as much as I can, until my knee heals up fully.

Dane suddenly thought up an excuse to disobey the nurse.

Dane: Never mind. I’m still going to be competing in that baseball game. I mean, look at my knees. What does a nurse know about an injured knee that doesn’t even hurt anymore?

Robb just shook his head, disgusted.

Robb: You can’t enter that game. The nurse denied your entry.

Dane understood where he was going, but denied listening to the nurse.

Dane: I’m still going to enter that game. I can still be designated hitter, can’t I?

Robb nodded surprised at the idea that Dane brought along.

Robb: Oh. Never thought of that. All right. Go on ahead and enter the game, but if you end up getting injured again, I will be the one sitting here saying, “I told you so.”

Dane just looked at him disgusted, and turned away from Robb. Robb then pushed his foot on the pedal, and they started on their way to their school. Meanwhile, Danielle had her head on Dane’s shoulder, looking up into his eyes. Then, she quickly removed her glance from Dane’s eyes, and turned her eyes to the window, with her head still laying on Dane’s shoulder. Robb looked into the mirror, and saw Danielle with her head on Dane’s shoulder as he shook his head with slight disgust that she hasn’t told him yet.

Scene 6: School-6th Hour

Robb pulled up into the school parking lot. Danielle lifted her head off Dane’s shoulder, and reached for the door handle to try and exit the car. Once her hands grasped the door handle, she would lift it up and push the door open with force. Danielle would then step out of the vehicle and stand by it, waiting for Dane to get out of the car. Dane would follow her, opening the door and stepping out of the car. Dane would then walk around the vehicle and walk with Danielle around the building to the baseball field, where the game was going to take place. After they circled the building, they headed straight towards the baseball field and saw a group of people standing in a line by the benches. In one line were the teachers and staff, and in the other line was the students. Dane and Danielle walked towards the line of students and stood in line, listening to the physical education teacher explain the rules.

Physical Education Teacher: First of all, we are going to split up into groups. The two captains will be Dane Fisher and Coach Taylor. They will decide on whether you are on their team or not.

Dane just looked at the teacher, and then to his old baseball coach, Coach Taylor. He walked towards the front of the line and turned around standing a couple feet away from his coach. Dane got the first pick, so he went with the junior varsity baseball coach, Coach Fish. He is one of the strongest batters known at the school, but didn’t have much speed to him. This one man can take over the whole game with a home run to deep left or deep right, in a mere hit. But, next up Coach Taylor decided on picking the second best hitter, with decent speed, Mr. Muter. Both Coach Fish and Mr. Muter played on the varsity baseball team when they were in school, and they lead the team to a championship. By the end of the drafting, Danielle belonged to Dane’s team, and only four people were left not picked. Each team was good, but Dane had the sluggers and Coach Taylor had the speed.

Teacher: Lets get this game underway!

Scene 7: The Game

First up at bat was Dane Fisher. Dane stepped on the plate, and the pitcher positioned himself to begin the game. There were two strikes and three balls counted, before Dane got serious. The pitcher threw a thirty mile per hour fast hour up the middle, and Dane took a step forward, and clobbered it into mid field. The center fielder went to try and catch the ball, but Dane hit it so hard the ball landed directly in front of the fielder, allowing a base hit. Dane ran and reached first, before being the first person to be on base.

Next up was Coach Fish, the hardest hitter in the whole game. The pitcher was switched out at that moment and a fast pitching Mr. Giffel was put on the mound. He positioned himself and got prepared to pitch to Coach Fish. He pulled his arm back, and bended forward, exerting all of his power into the throw. But, even with all of the power he threw at Coach Fish, it wasn’t enough to knock him off his balance, and he clobbered the ball all the way out towards the road for a home run. Dane and Fish rounded the bases and reached home, slapping the hands of their teammates.

The game continued through the ninth inning, with the score being 6-10, after back to back home runs by Mr. White, the Freshman physical education teacher. Also, runs were scored by Danielle and Robb for Dane’s team, and Coach Taylor and Mr. Neminski. Mr. Neminski was the math teacher, and was fast for a forty year old teacher.

Dane looked at his team surprised that they won the game. Not wanting to have to hang at the school longer than he had to, Dane, followed by Danielle, walked back around the school building and back towards the bus that was waiting to be boarded. First when they arrived, Dane walked up the stairs of the bus, and walked towards the back seat with the bus being completely empty. Danielle followed him, and sat down next to him on the bus seat. After that, people stampeded onto the bus and grabbed their seats. Once everyone was seated, the bus driver shut the doors, and the bus took off to drop the students off at their homes.

A Danomic Dream – Chapter 13

Chapter, 13 The Morning Accident

It was the morning of the next day when Dane got up off the bed to get himself ready to go to school around six thirty AM. Once Dane got up, he started to walk out of the room. As he tried to do so, he turned to the bed where Danielle was laying waiting for her to wake up. Danielle was rising herself up very little trying to wake up, but fell right back down onto the pillow. Dane walked right back over to the bed and lifted Danielle up. “Time for school Dannie. You have to wake up, but do not worry, this is the last day that we have to wake up this early.” Dane then set her up on to her feet again, trying to wake her up. Once Dane had a hold of her shirt, she finally woke up all the way and punched him in the arm. “Hey. What was that for? All I did was grab your shirt and try to wake you up, but you punched me in the arm. How rude.” Dane finished walking the other way, exiting the room so that Danielle could get ready and everything. Luckily for them, all their stuff was already over there, so all they had to do is find it and use it.
Once Dane exited the room, he closed the door behind him and started walking to the other bedroom to get his stuff ready to go to the school that morning. He predicted the worst, but the worst would not cut it for him that day. A black cat ran past Dane’s feet. Suspiciously, Dane tripped over the cat and rammed his head into the mirror. But, when Dane was flying down onto the floor, he held his arms out in front of him so that he did not hit his head hard, and once he fell, he hit his hands on the mirror. Dane was being a smart turkey there running away from disaster by putting his hands out in front of his face like a turkey runs from the killer. On the way down, Dane made a huge thump, when he hit his knees onto the door and fell backwards. This was not the best day that Dane could have, but it was definitely not the worst.
When Danielle heard the thump, she opened her door up and saw Dane laying on his back with his nose bleeding and his hands all cut up like he intended to smash himself into the mirror. Danielle walked over to him and just looked down at him, and grabbed his arm. He pulled up really hard, pulling him up to his feet with blood dripping onto her arms, but Dane was still conscious. Once Danielle had pulled him up, Dane started to walk slowly to the door, before falling back down onto the floor, but this time he hit the door. He was really hurting, and barely conscious but the thing that relieved Danielle was that he was alive and conscious. She turned his head towards the telephone and reached for it. He grabbed a hold of it, and pulled it up off the hook and brought it to her ears to make sure that it was on. She then dialed 9-1-1 trying to contact the hospital. Finally after fifteen minutes of waiting, she got a hold of the hospital.
“Hey. I got a man down here and I have people next door partying and they can not take my boyfriend Dane Gallagos to the hospital. He is barely conscious, and he needs some help right now. Get here as soon as you can.” Danielle said to them before Dane started to walk around again, just barely standing. Danielle ran after him, and grabbed a hold of his shirt and pulled him towards her to make sure that he does not get hurt again. But the hospital people thought about if she was serious about Dane Gallagos being injured. The paramedics finally got back in contact with Danielle.
“are you serious that Dane is down injured?” The paramedics asked thinking that she was just messing around with their minds.
“I am dead serious. Just get out here, and I will stand out by the door for you to get here.” She replied but before she even hung up the phone the paramedics replied again.
“What did he do anyway, run into a glass door? He always does that, he will be fine in an hour or two. But we will be right out there in about twenty minutes all right?”
Danielle just hung up the phone before she could even reply, looking at Dane, wiping some of the blood from his forehead from when the glass went through his hands. Danielle just lifted up Dane and started carrying him out towards the door, with blood dripping down Dane’s hands and head making the blood splatter all over Danielle’s shirt. “Come on Dane. Do not die on me now?” She muttered to Dane as he was nearly out, with his eyes half open and half closed. Dane just looked up at Danielle and smiled slightly.
“I am sorry.” He muttered before he passed out. Danielle quickly lifted him up into her arms and started to run towards the door. She set him down for a second, to reach out for the door handle, and slightly turned it so that she would be able to pull the door open. She stepped back a couple steps before she pulled the door open, revealing the ambulance waiting there at the door. The paramedics quickly jumped out of the ambulance and ran to Dane and lifted him up with their disinfection gloves and carried him back to the ambulance. Danielle followed them as they put him in the back of the ambulance, but one of the paramedics pushed her back a little bit.
“He is too dangerously infected for you to go in with him. Keep in touch with the hospital and we will give you some information about the accident and how Dane’s doing. We will call you in about two hours to give you information on the probably that are coming in through Dane’s body, all right?” They said running back towards the ambulance and jumping up onto the step up step, and went up to the back of the ambulance putting an air mask on him trying to get him to breathe. Danielle just watched in amazement, knowing what he must do for him. She knew that she had to go out to the school and let his friends know about the big accident. Then she had to go and visit him after school and check up on how he was doing. Danielle just watched the ambulance leave trying her hardest not to cry. Robby and Cooper, seeing the ambulance pulling out, stepped out of the house and walked over to Danielle.
“What happened? Is that Dane in the ambulance?” They asked concerned.
“Dane had a little accident. A black cat ran around the house and when it got to the bath room, he tripped on it and fell into the mirror next to his door. That glass shattered his hands and his face, and while I was trying to get him out to the ambulance he bled all over me. He will not be going to school today I guess, and I guess the fans will have to wait to see him until the college graduation party. I was in the other room where we were sleeping and I was getting dressed and everything and I heard a huge thump. I went to check out what was going on, and Dane was on the floor with his whole body full of blood. He was half conscious for about thirty minutes, and when the ambulance got here he passed out. I was told that he had glass stuck in his skin and the only thing keeping him alive was that tiny piece of glass keeping his heart together. There will always be a piece of glass in him, but at least he would be alive.” Danielle explained walking back into the house following the blood trail to the bathroom where Dane had been tripped. Superstition was never an option and it may have been the thing that would have killed Dane on the spot.
Robby looked at the blood trail and wondered. “A cat tripped him? She has to be kidding me?” He then looked at Danielle and asked, “Do you know if the cat bit him or something when he tripped? That might have been the thing that made him infected. With all the blood laying there on the floor, that must have been the thing that opened the cut so that all that blood would drain out at the same time. But if he was tripped by that cat, why didn’t he pay attention to its steps?” Cooper acted like a know it all after that.
“Come on Robb. WE all know that it came out of nowhere, or else Dane would have seen it and moved out of the way. Quit being such a retard and if the cat did not bite him, then the paramedics must have been wrong. Do you want us to go and inform his buddies that he is in the hospital?” Cooper asked with will to help out Danielle and Dane. This is not what Cooper usually does, but at this time it was the real deal when he tried to help Dane and Danielle with problems.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

A Danomic Dream – Chapter 12

Chapter 12, The Return Home: The Party

It was only two hours after the trip began that Dane, the band and Danielle arrived at Dane’s place for the party of the century. The darkness filled the evening air with the streets silent as a mouse, with all the little kids tucked into their beds around the neighbor hood that Dane lived in. The adults were out there working on their laps so they could be able to sleep that night wile they were not out partying with Dane and his buddies. Danielle had her head towards Dane with her hands resting on her lap.
The band was playing their guitar to prepare for the huge party concert. This party was for the havoc that was caused between Terminators and Trillomy and winning the game by rule.
The song that was played by the band was called, “Dad, Just Come Home,” titled by Mick when he remembered the time where his father was in the Marines when he was young. This was also triggered by the fact that Dane’s real father died when he was only fourteen and in eighth grade. Both of their mothers were left to take care of them through their early ages until Mick and Dane met up at a dance in tenth grade, where they decided to create their band. All of the father stories were put into that one long song, and it was their top hit of the year 2001.
“I guess it is about time that we create another song isn’t it? We have been playing this song for the audiences for years, and it is about time to make this band much better. I am thinking, “The memories from within,” said Mick. Dane just nodded looking for a way to get the lyrics matched up with the tunes. It was a little bit more difficult to create a new song when you have been playing that same song for years. Experimenting with the tunes, he decided upon how he was going to play it.
He started playing his guitar to a really sad tone to show the sadness within the song that they created. “What should the lyric be like? What would the message of the song be? We have to get this song finished in about thirty minutes, because in that thirty minutes the party should be getting started.” Dane asked worryingly.
“Do not worry so much, we will get the lyrics set, but the theme of the song will be, Anybody can create a memory but it takes toughness to try to fight it off. But I am not certain about the lyrics that will go along with the song, so lets just go along with our old song for now, and we will get this song created later tonight when we have time. But for now, lets get this practice session going, so that we can be ready to perform at the huge celebration bash.” Mick revealed from his thoughts, as Danielle looked towards Dane.
“Yeah. That is a great idea. Just go along with your song and if you have any time later, just practice for the song then. I guess that is about all you can do about it since you only have thirty minutes left until the party starts. And maybe you will get this stuff figured out by the end of the day so that you can play it at the super bowl in between the first half and the second half. Just start up the practice and you can get this story over with a bang.” Danielle announced trying to pump up the band members. Mick just looked at her.
“Well. I guess it is about time to get this practice done and I guess we might have to get that song finished up after the party, and we will meet up in the morning to practice it for the game next week.” Mick revealed to them, as he lifted up his guitar and handed Dane his. They all started playing their instruments making a hole lot of noise around the neighborhood but they still had to worry about the screaming out side of the party anyway.
It was about fifteen minutes after they started their practice, when a whole load of people arrived at the party with their drinks and everything they needed to bring with them. Since this party was going to end up into a huge sleepover where they were going to be too dizzy to even stand straight. Danielle pushed the door open as he turned back and forth to the band members and Danielle and said. “Well. I guess it is time to go in there and give it our all. These people are counting on us to give them a great night, so lets go in there and show them a great time and do what you usually do at our concerts, and play our hearts out. Are you guys ready?!” Dane shouted looking to each and every one of them, holding a hand out in the middle. Soon after he had done so, the members thought about how they should make their appearances, then held their arms out to get their hands in the circle.
“But remember, do not pull out a Dane Gallagos on us. Do not be falling off the stage ready for the stage dive and fall to the floor and hit your head.” Mick said thinking that it would be a little bit funny to the rest of the band other than Dane, being the only member of the band to have ever done so. Dane just laughed.
“Do not go there. I know I made that mistake of seeing Danielle while we were supposed to be playing but it was not her fault she wanted to see me in concert. So quit blaming sweet little Danielle on the injuries that were caused, and the problems that were caused during the accident.” Dane said as he stopped laughing. “But lets get serious here. We have to play in this concert for the fans out there, and it is about time to show them what they want to see. The biggest song in teenage history will be sung again for them and they will enjoy it. Good luck out there and do not be pulling a Dane Gallagos and fall off the stage.” Dane slid out and grabbed Danielle and lifted her up into his arms, ready to set her back down. Finally, he found his chance to perform another huge gig with his band of seven years. This band may have been as big as Elvis Presley back in the eighties and they have found their chance to gain world domination through their music.
Dane then after a few seconds of holding her set her back down on her feet onto the ground. This moment in the careers of Danomic Memories may be their big chance to go out there and show the whole world how they role in music playing. Mick was just sitting there waiting for the rest of the band to exit the van with their stuff. Dane looked up to Mick, and motioned for him to grab his guitar for him so that he can go into the house to get his stuff ready, and to get his clothes changed because of the huge mud fight earlier that day. “Come on man. I need that guitar quickly so that I can get changed and start getting it ready for the concert during the party.” Dane said as Mick looked at the guitar. Mick then lifted up the guitar and handed it over to Dane allowing him to get going into the party to get ready for the big gig about fifteen minutes later. Dane walked in with Danielle, cutting through the traffic of the people crowded around, as he walked up to his bedroom. He then opened the door up and walked in, as Danielle just stopped right there at the door so that Dane could get ready without her around to mess him up. Danielle just turned around, and went to the stairs where the band was standing.
“Dane is getting ready right now. He will be out in a couple minutes. But in the mean time, get your stuff ready and I will tell him to go and meet you guys down in the basement. But grab a drink or two and enjoy yourself until the concert starts up in a few minutes. I will see you guys after the concert has ended, all right?” Danielle informed the band as she looked to the left at Dane’s parents room where she heard pounding but just iggnored it knowing that weird things happen at parties with wine. All she knew was that his parents were not there that night, but were out to the club to hang with their favorite bands at a concert. They never even knew about the gig that was occuring at the house that day. Danielle walked down the stairs slowly holding a beer in her hands, as she got to the final step. She handed the beer to Mick, as she dropped that final step walking her way past them and on her way to the basement to get Dane’s guitar all set up for the party entertainment.
Dane finally opened the door and walked a step out of the room. He then shut and locked his door so that nobody could get into there, as he walked his way towards the steps looking down at the other band members. “You guys ready yet? I am all psyched up for the concert, but it will be a little hard without Danielle there standing beside me, but I can do it.” Dane confessed as he walked down the steps to get to Mick and the rest of the band. “Well. Lets go down to the basement and get ready for the entertainment portion of the homecoming super bowl qualifying party.” he said walking his way past them and continued to walk until he came to a group of old friends of his. “Hey guys. Rememember me?”
The guys just stood there and remembered who it was. “How is the old head trauma feeling? And good luck with the huge band thing and we will see you guys later. I really did not believe that you were going to become a huge time guitar player in one of the biggest bands in the USA. You have a huge gig to prepare for, so we will be rooting for you and good luck.” One of his friends from the past said extending a hand for the secret hand shake. Dane then followed him, as they shook hands with Dane’s arm extended out to him.
Dane then started to turn around and walk off but he heard another blast from the past, hearing that sweet little girls voice when he was little telling him all of her most deepened secrets and trusting him with that. That lady from the past was Danielle, but she was only twelve at that time. Hearing the giggling of that girls reminded him what his true dreams were at that point of time, to become a big time football player but had nearly given it up to become a singer in the band that he founded with Mick. His body began to shake hearing that voice reminding him that she had to leave him alone. This was the point where Danielle went up the stairs and walked over to Dane.
“What is going on?” Danielle asked with worry. After she said that, he suddenly stopped shaking. But the flashbacks just continued coming after him, when he saw his buddy standing there by the steps. Hearing another voice from the past, being spoken by Melanie when he was young and met before he was introduced to Danielle about a year after they met. Cooper and Robby walked through the door and saw Dane standing there seeing that flashback coming back to him as they walked up to Dane and shook him.
“Wake up!” they yelled still shaking him, waiting for him to wake up from his dreams. They even shook him so much, that Dane fell to the floor, hitting his head making him wake up. Dane then said surprised.
“Hey guys. What is wrong with me today? Two flashbacks in a minute, it has to be a world record. All I did was talk to two of my buddies from the tenth grade that I have not seen in forever and I got these flashbacks back from the day I met Danielle. Then I got the one where I fell off the stage. There is something seriously wrong with me today, but I do not know what it is.” Dane said confused. He then walked off to go to the basement followed by Cooper and Robby. Once they got there, they had to walk down a series of steps and had to get by three security guards blocking the way to the stage before the thing started so that nobody could interfere with the stuff going on down there. Once they got through that, they walked to the stage and grabbed a hold of the railing. Doing so, Dane flipped over the bar and landed on his feet, followed by Cooper and Robby copying him. Once they all got up there, they walked to the band and introduced themselves in.
“Well Robby, Cooper, I guess I will see you guys after the concert and try not to get through any flashbacks while you are walking and talking.” Dane said looking up at the lights noticing that they a little bit too dim, so he signaled for lights expert to brighten the lights a little bit. There, the lights were set, the equipment was set up, and the concert was ready to get on the roll. Robby and Cooper walked down the steps and left the area with Dane and the band still standing there. “You guys ready? The concert only begins in three minutes.”
“I really do not know that this concert is a good idea. We have enemies out there in the crowd today, and even Devon is out there waiting for us to get out on the stage. We better watch our backs because they mean business when they paid these guys to go out there on stage and beat us up. We should cancel this now, while we still have a chance. Not to be a whimp or anything.” Jim said walking down the steps to exit the stage. Dane looked at Jim walking away from them and just sighed.
“I guess our backup guitar player is out of the gig. I guess we are screwed out of this concert now.” Dane said giving up on the concert.
“No, wait a second there. Even though he is gone, we can do that thing with two guitarists and a drummer. Unless our drummer gives up on us like Jim at least we still have you and me.” Dane said as he looked at their drummer, Joe.
“I am with Jim on this one. Sorry guys.” Joe said walking off down the steps and going to the crowd where everyone was standing by the door. Dane and Mick looked at each other disgusted.
“What whimps. I guess we have to do this one ourselves, huh? We should have picked out tougher drummers and backup.” Mick said to Dane as Dane sighed again.
“Yeah. I guess so, since the other two gave up on us. Unless if we can get Robby and Coop to come out there and play with us. Robb is good at the drums, and Coop is awesome with the guitar. They could help us out with this band gig.” Dane then walked over to the right and walked down the steps on his way to go and see Robby and Cooper. He arrived at their sight in only three minutes. “Yo guys. Come on, we need you guys to help us with the gig. Robby, you can be a drummer, and Coop you can be a guitarist. We will all go down in history together with Mick.” Dane said trying to convince Robby and Cooper to come and help him out with the concert.
“I guess we have no other choice. We have always wanted to be famous, and I guess we really want to be like you so we will join. We will have to hold off the concert for a couple minutes since me and Robby have to get ready so that we know what we are doing for this concert.” Cooper said turning around and walking away from Dane to go down to the basement where the stage was standing. Robby just followed him to the stage as he just looked amazed at what was going on with the greatest band of all time. He did not know why Joe and Jim gave up on Mick and Dane but it gave him a chance to be like them, and become famous. On their way to the stage, they were remembering the whole song lyrics and guitar signals and activities. Mick looked right towards the door where Robby and Cooper was walking in through.
“I guess you guys accepted our invitation to become famous since the other two members left on us. It is about time to play for the concert and sif you see all the people out there waiting, this concert will be a huge hit with two new members who have not even played our music yet. But I guess you guys remember our hand movements don’t you?” Mick asked looking at Robby and then at Cooper.
“Yeah. Why wouldn’t we? We paid attention to what you guys were doing so that we can be famous some day and I guess this is our day. So, if you guys are ready I guess we are. Lets get this concert on the roll, and bring it our all.” Robby yelled out to Mick in excitement.
The audience just stared down the door, until one of the security guards opened the door for them to come in. Being smart, the guard jumped out of the way of the rushing fans that were there to see the band play. Dane looked through the curtain and was amazed that there were more people than he saw a couple minutes ago when he came back to the room to prepare. “Time to get this show on the road.” Dane said as he lifted up his guitar and was ready for the huge concert, as Robby grabbed the drum sticks and Cooper grabbed the guitar. The whole crew was ready for the concert as the curtain was opened up.
The fans could see the band jumping and popping as they played their instruments and Dane was all over the floor with his guitar, while Mick was up there singing his heart out with the song that they were famous for. Cooper was all over the floor as well, going face to face with Dane himself playing hard, rocking the whole house while he played his hard rock. Four minutes after the start of the concert, Devon jumped up onto his feet from the chair he was sitting in as he just laughed at the rocking of the band. Him and his followers jumped up onto the stage and started to go after Robby and Cooper. They then, without fright in them, smashed the followers with the guitar in the head as Devon started to clap for them, as Dane just lifted his foot up. Doing so, he made Devon fall off the stage with ahigh kick to the chin, where he hit hard on the floor, making him lay motionless. The band was playing their music as the fans started to scream for them in excitement.
After the song ended Danielle jumped up out of her chair and clapped quickly and loudly as she jumped up onto the stage with quickness. She then ran to Dane and hugged him tight as he lifted her up and twisting her around in a circle in celebration. Robby and Cooper ran to the edge of the stage and jumped out into the air trying to get sent from the first person in line to the last person in the row so that they could exit the basement. Dane just laughed seeing them doing so. “I just wanted to congratulate two of the newest members in the band, Robby and Cooper! Give them a good ole congratulations, because they deserve it with all the hard work they went through to get here.” Dane said clapping his hands and Danielle’s at the exact same time.
“Yeah. These guys entered this band later after two of the biggest players in this band played tonight, and if it was not for them, we would probably have failed. So, thank you Robby and Cooper for all the help throughout this concert. Welcome to the band!” Dane said jumping out off the stage to surf the crowd all the way out to the door. There, he met up with Robby and Cooper. Danielle then also jumped out to surf the corwd, followed by Mick. Once they all got to the end of the crowd they walked towards the exit doors.
“This was enough excitement for me today. We have to get out of here so that we can get some rest. Remember, we have school tommorow. I am going to sleep over at your place Danielle, all right? I can not sleep here with all that shouting and screaming, and the poperazi.” Danielle said walking over to the exit.
“Yeah sure. My parents will be there tonight though, so I guess we will not gave much tonight since you know how boring my parents are on these kinds of days.” Danielle said getting to the car as she pulled her keys out of her pocket and pressed the unlock button on her automatic door opener. This then lead up to pressing the open door button, and then the start up the car button. The guys finally got over to the carr and jumped into it, as the doors shut behind them. This car was said to have been from the future but anything can happen in Texas. Danielle, got into the car as Dane wondered about what was going on.
“What is up with your car? Does it run itself or something?” he asked and Danielle decided to show him. She pressed another button on her car, as it made the car run on its own without her even having to take the wheel. This was the reason she got her drivers license so quickly, and the reason she got the car was because she was said to have invented the creation of it, but did not really invent it. The car drove at about seventy miles per hour down the expressway on the way to Danielle’s place.
It was only a matter of time until they arrived and noticed that the house got tp’d earlier by a bunch of gangsters trying to be cool, but luckily for them, Danielle’s mom caught them on tape. Danielle looked at it and laughed hardly at how bad of a job they did of covering it up, it was just funny to them that they went through all that trouble to just get caught via video camera.
“What idiots. Even I know that people are supposed to be wearing masks before they go and tp somebodies house. Those twits probably did not know that they were being watched by more people around the neighborhoods with built in camera’s on their houses. If I ever end up trying to sneak at somebodies house and tp it, I would do a better job at it than those two twits. They proably do not even know what two plus two is, let alone going to somebodies place and tp’ing them without knowing that they were being watched. I mean geez, even a caveman would know that.” Dane said as he heard a loud stomp on the ground. He turned around and saw that it was a caveman, as he stopped in fright.
“I would know to wear a mask while I am tping trees don’t I?” The caveman whos name was Dave said. “Well. I guess I might need to show you guys what happens to people who make fun of us cavemen, or since you are the biggest band in the whole united states and our homeland, I guess we will let you guys off this time. But remember, do not mess with cave men because they can really hurt badly.” He said turning around and stomping away from them, trying to get back to their space ship. Dane looked at it and just laughed quietly in his head. Once the space ship was gone, Dane walked over to Danielle’s door and knocked on it.
“Oh Mr and Mrs. Sewelle. We are here.” Dane said as he heard somebody open the door and it was Mrs. Sewelle-name was Debby. He wondered why she was named Debby as he started to walk in.
“I have not seen you in a long time Dane. Last time I saw you, you were at our old house and you were hanging there trying to make us change our minds about leaving you behind. You really cared a lot about that girl so we decided to let her go out and see you in concert, but I guess you ended up getting yourself in a little bit more trouble than you expected. But oh well, you two are together now at our new home.” She looked towards Danielle and said. “Show your boyfriend around the house a little bit, since he will be staying here for the next couple days while there is danger in that house of his parents while they are gone.”
“I will be with you in a minute but right now I have to ask your mother a question, all right?” Dane asked Danielle as she just nodded.
“Do not be too long, because it will take about an hour to show you around the whole place.” Danielle said walking up the steps while Dane turned to Mrs. Sewelle and asked her.,
“Hey. Do I have your permission to marry your daughter?” Dane asked her. She was extremely shocked.
“Yes of course. You both love each other don’t you? When are you planning to propose?”
“Tonight. Why?” Dane asked puzzled.
“Just wanted to know when you and her were going to get married. It will be great to get her out of the house for good. But do not tell her I said that because she can get really angry.” Danielle’s mother said to Dane, as she walked away from him. Once she replied to him, Dane turned around and started walking off to get to the stairs when he had to walk up. This was a very painful moment for Dane, who was trying to decide what the perfect moment of the real engagement was going to be. Danielle was standing up down by the top of the stairs where she was waiting for Dane to go up there and meet her. This was a very weird moment for Dane, knowing that he might be marrying this girl later that week, but he had to stay focused if he wanted to carry this engagement the correct way.
“What did my mother say to you?” she said crossing her arms staring at Dane, trying to make Dane answer that question. That evil look made anybody she looked at answer her, even if they did not want to answer her question.
“She was asking when I was going to compose to her, but I had no real idea when that was going to be. That is about all we were talking about the whole five minutes. I am just looking for the perfect time to ask you, but I have not found the perfect time in the last few days. But that is all we were talking about.” Dane said not letting Danielle know what her mother said, keeping his promise the way he always had. Danielle just unfolded her shoulders and smiled at him.
“Aww. You want to propse to me? How sweet.” She said walking up to Dane and hugging him. “I do not know if we should get married for another week or two, but whenever you are ready to propose to me it will be fine with me.” she said knowing that he would probably ask her someday since she had come back for him. It was very serious to Dane that when he found the correct woman to marry, he would have found the perfect one to be with the rest of his life. This was not the way he wanted to let her know but she made him do it, so that Dane never even had a choice to even answer or not. She did that because she was curious and she wanted to proove every one wrong when they said that they would never get married and they would be done within the next couple days.
Dane, still holding Danielle started to let go and leaned in to peck at Danielle’s lips but her father opened the door next to them. He let go of her trying to make sure that her father did not even know about what he was trying to do. Her father had a really extinct expression on his face that many fathers never would show.
“I hear you are trying to marry my daughter. Well let me let you know, that if you even got close to marrying her you would not even have a great time doing it. You will have to get by me before you even get close to marrying her. So, are you planning to carry this out?” Her dad asked crossing his arms with Dane just looking at him wierdly trying to get a little seriousness outside of that face of his.
“Yeah. Why are you so worried about her. She has known me since fourth grade, and we have been in love since then. Why don’t you just let me marry her and nobody will have a problem with it, all right? I will make her happy and you will be glad that I got her off your hands for a while. Isn’t that what you wanted, to make your daughter happy? Or are you just going to keep protecting her like I am going to do anything to her. Just let me carry on with her, and we will both be out of your hair. I understand that you love her, but so do I and I want to marry her.” he said standing up to her father, making a very horrifying decision, but he just made Danielle’s father believe in their relationship.
“Yeah, I guess I have no choice to let her go with you, because all I have wanted to do was make her happy through out her life, but I have been scaring off all the boys around her in the last six years. You can have her and I will just stay off you guys for a couple years, or until you break up. But until then, I will just stand back and let you be happy with her.” He said unwrapping his arms from his chest, to go out and hug Dane and Danielle. He then walked past them and started to walk down the steps.
“Why id your father so over protective? I guess he gave you up to me and well, it was a good decision. I meant everything I said to him, and I want to be happy with you until me or you die off forever. I guess it is time to go down the hall and show me the place, so I will just shut up.” Dane said walking past her to go up to the door next to him. “So this is your room, isnt it?” He said grabbing the doorknob and opening the door to go into the room and walk to her bed. Oncer he got there he sat down on the bed and looked around the room. “Pretty room. It is much better colored and styled than my room. All you see in my room is some stupid wrestlers and football players on my wall drinking milk. What a dorky room huh?” He said waiting for her to reply to him.
“Yeah. My parents made me decorate it myself, so I guess it was all me. Your room is definitely dorky but not as dorky as mine. At least your room has football players and wrestlers. I have not changed my room around any for the last six years since you were gone. I left it this way so that I could remember the good times we had together when we were back in the elementry, junior high years. Man, I am glad that we are going to get married, because I have waited for the perfect man that could push by my father with some sweet talking and you taught her to love my decisions and we will be having a great life together.” She said walking over to the bed and sitting down next to him.
“Yeah, I sure hope so. We will have three kids and they will be named Billy, Bob, and Joe..” Dane said before Danielle interupted him.
“do not be going that far. We still have another couple weeks before we even get married so hold off that thinking until we are officially married.” she said laughing a little bit turning back to the wall seeing a picture of them at their middle school dances. She wrapped her arms around him and leaned in to peck him on the cheek. Dane smiled and pecked right back at her. Danielle’s mom though was standing there by the door, where Dane waved to her and gave her a thumbs up.
“We are getting married in a couple weeks, and we want you to be there. Do not even try to get out of being at the wedding for your daughter because I always find a way to make you obey me. Do not even make me go hitler on you like I did to your husband.” he said being a little history like turning his head back to Danielle then beside him. “Well. Want to go out tonight somewhere? Mayve to the bar, or the club, or maybe even another party. The other party is still going on at my house if you want to go back and hang there before the night is over.” Dane said pointing to her and poking her in the chest. He just laughed gettig up off the bed and pointing back at her mother. “Well. We will see you a little later. Keep the doors unlocked and we will be out of the house in a couple weeks and out of your hair.” he said walking past her to go to the steps looking down at Mister Sewelle. “Well. You want to come with us. You are welcome to come if you want to.” Dane said walking down the steps to be able to confront him in person again.
“Sure. Celebration of the happiness of my daughter, why would I miss that?”
“Probably because of the situation we had earlier face to face. If I were in that posotion I would not even go close to the one who did that to me. But I guess I am not you, so do whatever you want to do.” He said walking all the way down the steps to reach him and just stared him in the eyes. “I will see you out in the van, dad.” he said walking past him and out the door. The father just stared at the wall thinking about how his life would change with his daughter gone from him for ever. Danielle just loked at her mom, as she got up as well. She then walked on past her to go out the door and to the steps. She turned her head to a portrait of her and Dane standing there by the door before she had to move. She started to cry knowing thatthis may be thher last encounter before they get married because rumor went around the hgouse that they can not see each other until the wedding after the proposal was finalized, or else they will have bad luck forever, or until the marriage ended. The family was a little bit too supersticious, believing in the teachings of the pastor, and believing in everything that had to do with luck.
Danielle was walking down the steps when she saw the sad and worried look on her fathers face. “What is wrong dad?” She said walking down to him.
“I just can not give my favorite little girl up, but I want you to be happy at the same time. Do not make me regret letting you and him get married in two weeks. You know about how me and your mother barely even talk to each other any more. We both loved you, and that is why we stayed together that whole time. WE have been together for about twenty two years, and we have hated each other for about sixteen of those years, so do not end up like us with a child that we do not know what to do with and have to end up staying together for a child you had together. I just fear that you will make the same mistake that I did, but I guess that mistake will be with a man you have loved since you were really young.” He said with tears flooding his eyes. Danielle walked c,ose to him and hugged him.
“I will not make a mistake with Dane. As you said we have loved each other for years and I am not about to give that up and I know that he is not going to give up that easily with me. We will be together for ever and we will proove that to you over the next couple years and we will make you believe that we are made for each other. Just believe in our love and we will not let you down, we promise.” Danielle said hugging him tighter wiping her hand across his face wiping the tears from his eyes just crying with him. She then walked off away from him to go out the door trying to wipe those tears from her eyes.
Dane then walked up to her and looked at her eyes. “What is wrong honey?” he asked going in for the hug. Danielle just cried harder seeing his big blue eyes in the darkness. He just wiped the tears from her eyes and hugged her tight, trying to comfort her. Dane walked with Danielle to the car and opened the door for her and tried to help her in. He let go of her and let her get in to the car.
“I will be fine. It is just that whenever I look in to my father eyes and then in to your eyes, I fee upset that I have to changethese for my family. It just hurts all of us that they have to give up that easily with out a fight. I love you, but Ijust do not know how long we will live with out hating each other.” she said wiping her tears again, sliding over to the other side. There, Dane set down in the car looking through the screen, to see Robby and Cooper sitting there waiting for them to get ready, so that they can get going. But, it was not time to go yet, since Danielle’s father and mother were walking out to the car at that time. Danielle just slid over a little more, with Dane following her as well. Danielle’s father walked down tto the car and opened the door up so that his wife could get into the car first. Watching her mother get into the car, Danielle started to cry again. Dane looked over to her and lai his head on her shoulder, lifting his hand up to her face and wiping her eyes of the tears, comforting her like he always did.
“Are you guys ready yet? The bands playing in about five minutes. They got American Dream to go there and play for them for free after telling the band that you were hosting te party. You better be ready to play for the guests with the band because they are expecting you. And that is why we were here sitting here for an hour and a half. We thought that you would celebrate your engagement at the party and intorduce it to everybody. The band will be there waiting for you to get ready for the performance so you guys better get ready quickly. Every body is expecting you guys to be there and sing for them.” Robby said starting the car up so that they could get going to the party before it came to a close.
There, they were driving for two hours so they could get to the party. They were going at a high speed of eighty miles per hour down the seventy five zone. Unlucky for them, the coppers pulled up by their side and had them pull over twenty minutes before they had to get to the party. The guys looked at each other, and then behind them at Dane. “We are screwed.” They saidto him.
“Nott until I aay we are. These guys will let us off easily. Just let me take are of it and we will be there in no time.” Dane said as he sat down and looked out the window. The cops were coming up to the car where they stopped down by the wheels and inspected the front. They then walked over to the drivers side and signaled for them to roll down their windows. Robby obeyed them, as he rolled the windows down and looked at the officers.
“What is wrong officers?”
“My speedometer said that you reached eighty miles per hour, and you know what you get for doing that on a seventy mile per hour speed zone? You get a ticket.” He said starting to write out the ticket, but before he could finish, Dane stuck his head out the window.
“Hey officers.” He said looking right into the officers eyes.
“Hey. You are Dane Gallagos from Danomics Dreams. I did not know you were riding in this car. Well guys, you got lucky today. I will hold this ticket off for now, but if you do it again you will have to pay about two hundred dollars for that out tail light and for the speeding you did down the speedway. You got that?” The officers said as they turned around and walked back to their police car. Dane sat back down on to his seat down by Danielle.
“I really did not think that it would be that easy.”
“How else do you think they will react? ’I will give you the ticket anyway.’ That cop will not give out a ticket to a famous star like you and us.” Cooper said as Robby started the car back up again to leave down the zone going to nearly seventy five miles per hour following the police car, and when the car turned, they started speeding up again at eighty miles per hour to speed up to get to the party before it was time to get the gig in. Cooper looked behind him at Dane. “come on man. Give Danielle a nice wet one. We want to see you guys kiss for once before the big wedding.”
“Well. You guys will have to wait until the wedding because I really do not know if I should do it in front of the father and mother. But either way, I have thought about the whole party thing, and I am thinking about going in and moving the party to the abandoned lot beside me. I mean, we have school tommorow man, and I have to be ready for the final day of high school. We can go out to the club or something tomorrow.” Dane siad looking to Danielle and then to Cooper.
“Or. You can go and sleep at the abandoned lot next door and let the fans party there with us and the parents. And do not worry, I will take your part for you and I will make all of us as famous as we are right now.” Cooper said as they pulled into the abandoned lot. Dane then looked to Danielle and smiled leaning over her and pushing the door open for her. Then, Danielle left the vehicle followed by Dane and they went up to the door that was left unlocked because he had to watch over the house for the neightbors. They grabbed the door handle and opened the door to be able to walk on in. Danielle followed after Dane when he was walking in to go up to the stairs.
“First day alone. But it is too bad that we have school tomorrow. If we did not then we could go to the club to celebrate tommorow after noon. But for now we can go upstairs and get to bed, so that we can wake up tomorrow and get ready for the last day of the high school miracles.” Danielle said walking up the stairs and going to the door that was left wide open and walking in. Then behind her was Dane going in there after she did and went to the bed and laid down. “Well. I guess it is time to go to sleep, but in the mroning we will have fun again, I promise.” Danielle said laying down next to him, and slowly drifting off to sleep.

Chapter 11: Game’s Final Half-Dane’s Return

It was finally time for the second half with Dane pumped up and ready to begin his first game out of retirement. When the heard that Dane was going to be playing in the game for the Cowboys, everybody jumped up onto their feet. You could hear cheering from all sides of the arena, shouting for Dane to reveal himself at the halftime show, but he never showed up. The fans became restless shouting louder and louder beating n the seats in front of them, and there were even people shaking the railing down by the entrances.
Dane then had no choice but to go out there and show his face at the concert. When he was on his way out, he was carrying his specialized microphone ready for his pretty long speech for the fans about the whole football game. “Hey everybody out there! The rumors are true that I am going to be coming back to play football with the Cowboys this year. I am back in action for another long season, and ready for the huge fight to the top both this season and next. Do you think the teams will survive these long fought seasons without getting exhausted like I do? I have been in a coma for about five years but now after being pushed into entering again I am. So all you teams out there better watch out, because I am back and better than ever. And good luck to all of you out there in your games and I will meet one of you guys at the super bowl because I am hyped up and we will, I repeat we will win the super bowl!” The crowd just chanted Dane’s name as a large uproar was created by the Terminators and the Terminator fans.
“No, you better watch out. You think you will make it to the super bowl I really do not think so. It is about time for somebody to take the better man of the team out like I did to the other player earlier. You really thought that it was accidental? Well I guess you are not as smart as most people thought you were. I am here to dominate and I will dominate if I want to.” Devon Determine said trying to look as touch as he thought possible, but I guess he was wrong. He was just even more hated than he was when he walked into the arena for the game.
Dane just stared at him showing him that he knew that Devon was being extremely stupid, as he turned his head to the referees and just nodded. “Well. I guess the whole reason you came here is to dominate all forces in front of yours and destroy all enemies like terrorists. But all you’re doing is standing there being a complete idiot acting like you were Mr. number one. It is about time for a change, and that change is for you to feel the pain that you have been inflicting upon everybody around. The fans came here to see a good sportsman like game, but all we have seen is fighting and injury causing throughout the game. I am never going to let you continue with this destruction, because I am going to end it right here before it ever gets out of hand. The rest of this game will involve no penalties, and near the end of the game you will be the ones who have the lower hand in this game. My team and I will make it to the super bowl and you will be the ones being terminated.” Dane shouted out throwing the mic down on the ground with frustration encouraging havoc.
Devon Determine looked straight to Dane and lifted the mic back up to his lips. “Whoa there Dane. We have came this far and we are not going to win it under no rules. But if you and your team want more people injured in this game, it is fine by me. I am the best defensive lineman ever drafted and I will destroy every man who tries to get in my way. So, if you want to get in my way, then come on and I will fight you all the way to the final second.” Devon Determine said turning around to face his team and just nodded to them and the team nodded back knowing what he just asked from them. The Terminators charged out to meet with Dane and the Cowboys, ready for the biggest battle for the super bowl spot that they have ever fought through.
The referees ran out to stand in front of them to hold the two teams off, so that the fighting does not get out of hand. “This game will be scheduled under no penalties and anything goes. This part of the game will only include two minute quarters, making it a total of four minutes throughout the rest of the game. So, both teams keep it fair because I do not want any of you all to be laying on the ground passed out or injured.” The referee said dropping the microphone down with the start of the third quarter coming to a start.
The Terminators turned around and walked themselves off to their side of the field and got their play prepared for the first drive of the quarter. The Cowboys had their chance to start the game off and the advantage to win the game was given to them. They stood there looking at Dane, just laughing remembering what he had said to mess up the other quarter back. Dane just laughed along with them, as he started to walk up to the field to get ready for the kick return. He knew that this half of the game will get bloody and brutal so he decided to fight back against the Terminators and got ready for his big debut back with the Cowboys. The team just followed after him, as the Terminators just stared the Texas Trillomy down just laughing at the status of their team.
It was the time for the kick off as Dane turned to the guy beside him, and just pointed to the infield where he believed it would be coming back at. He was ready for the bloodiness of the biggest fight he has ever been through. Watching the kicker run forwards to kick the ball, he watched as it was kicked high up into the air and just stood there waiting for the ball to fall. The ball fell right into his hands, as Dane started to run. With him running, the backup came in and started to got everybody right in the facemask pulling all the players on defense down. With no penalties it was about time that Dane rushed right through them with a rush of agility pushing them down with his right arm as he ran. It was around the forty yard line of the Terminators before they even took Dane down . Grabbing the facemask, they took him down, a little more than the forty yard line but it was rounded down to the forty yard line.
Dane just stared up at the tackler, Devon Determine, with a very cruel expression on his face, and lifted his hand up to grab a hold of Devon’s face mask to roll over and push him down to the ground. “You think you are smart don’t you? It will take more than that to take the D man out.” Dane said getting up to his feet, spitting down on Devon’s face. Devon pulled himself up to his feet, and ran after Dane and grabbed his neck and tried to push him down. Grabbing a hold of his neck, he would have a man from his team, run up to Dane and push into him, helping Devon take him out. Finally, Kevin Hayden ran out to the fight and pulled Devon up off of Dane and pulled his facemask off of him. He then grabbed a hold of Devon’s head and punched him right in the nose, making it bleed internally. With the punch, Devon would fall backwards to the floor, as the officials grabbed Kevin by the arms.
“You think I am done with you? Well you are dead wrong. Nobody messes with my buddy Dane except for me, you got it? Dane was right, somebody needs to take you out, and that somebody will be me, so watch your back before I have to come up on you and totally destroy you. Remember, no rules means that I can kick your ass anytime I want, and that means that everything that is going on right now is legal and I will come back at you and kick your scrawny little butt you got that?” Kevin just yelled out at Devon, meaning very word he said seriously and those words threatened Devon terribly. Dane jumped to his feet and walked over to Devon and got down on his knees and grabbed his head and threw a quick jab to his face, hitting him right in the forehead giving him a killer headache and a huge spot on his face. This pair meant everything they said and they will give it all they can to get revenge on this man for insulting this team like he just did.
Dane then got up off of him. “How does it feel to be jumped, huh? That is how everybody that you have injured feels and it was about time to make you feel the same way. But we are not done with you yet, just wait until after the game. Good luck getting up and attacking me after that, because it is not over until I say it is over. You got it?” Dane said with disgust towards Devon, as he added insult to injury when he spit down at Devon’s face and totally insulted him a little too much. The fighting continued when the team ran back out and started to join in with the fight, as Johnny Ahmed ran out and jumped Dane and Kevin at the same time clothes lining them to the floor with a harsh powerful blow. This one blow took both of them down, as they fell forward on their faces into a puddle of mud.
Johnny just laughed walking over to Devon and grabbing his arm to help him up. Devon’s nose was still bleeding terribly as Devon just pushed Johnny’s arm away and tried to get up himself checking his nose. The officials just thundered out and grabbed the men and pulled them backwards away from each other. It was a smart call for the officials since this fight could destroy every chance to get this game going. A fan in the front row jumped out of his seat and jumped over the barricade to interfere in the fight, as he grabbed Johnny and punched him in the back of the head. This thud made Johnny fall right down onto the ground, with his nose bleeding. Once he got that job done, the fan then ran straight to the barricade and jumped right over it and started to run out and away from the arena before he could get caught. Dane just continued laughing pushing himself free and backing off from the fight followed by Kevin to the leave the whole situation so that it could get worked out through the officials.
The officials just turned to the players, before helping them all up. Dane just stared down Devon with his nose still bleeding, figuring out why the team was called The Terminators in the first place. Dane turned to the team and just laughed with them seeing the sight of the loser known as Devon Determine. The team quickly picks out a play as the fans were extremely amused at all the fighting and the action going on in the field. Devon just stared down Dane ready to jump him again, but Johnny just held him back.
“Save it for the field now Devon. You will have your chance to take him out but right now lets focus. We have to win this game tonight or else we are out of the tournament. I know we are called the Terminators but we still have to keep our head in the came. Destroying everybody around will not help any, so lets just make this game nice and fair here, all right?” Johnny explained.
Devon just kicked back and got him in the nuts making him fall backwards to the ground. This move was very stupid on Devon’s part because Johnny got extremely pissed off at him. Johnny charged at Devon and pulled him back to the ground. “Nobody kicks me like that. You want to screw around, I have all the time in the world to screw around but do not be ruining my chances to make it to the super bowl, and if you want a piece of me, then bring it on.” he said inviting the fight to occur.
Johnny looked to Dane and nodded, as Johnny raised his foot directly up in the air to prepare to drop it on Devon’s head. Lowering his foot, he smashed Devon right into the ground, making the injury even worse than the officials believed. Now Johnny was out there betraying his own team. The fans just stared noticing that Johnny was being betrayful as the Terminators fans threw tomatoes at his head, aiming for the back of his head but ended up getting his back. Dane looked at Johnny and extended his arm out looking like he was ready to give him a handshake to allowing him to enter the team. Kevin just laughed at Devon, as Johnny extended his own arm out to shake hands with Dane, as the deal was made. Johnny was then officially signed to the Trillomy team, who was close enough to defeating the Terminators hands down.
The officials looked down, but this look was in confusement. “This game will have to be rescheduled. Due to all the fighting, the game is over and we will have to give the game to the Trillomy. They were up by one, so according to the game rules, the game is over after fighting broke out, and I will have no choice but the end this madness and award Trillomy the shot to go to the super bowl to play against the Driving Tigers. Nice game to you all, and good luck in the super bowl, the Texas City Trillomy!” The referee announced walking off to the ticket booth, as the Terminators became furious but without their leaders, they had no choice but to retreat. The Trillomy just stared at them and laughed their head off.
“Welcome to the team Johnny. It is about time we get a player with your talent, defensive and offensive skills. We are proud to have you on our team. Thank you.” Dane said giving Johnny and short hug, before walking off to where the band was standing.
Mickey just stared at him with amazement, seeing him come towards him. “Great job out there tiger. You are going to the super bowl, or shall I say, we are going to the super bowl. I was signed just a couple minutes earlier, and I guess Johnny joined today after kicking your butt earlier. How could you allow a man like him to join the team. Don’t you think he is going to jump you later? He could be some major trouble along the way through the super bowl.” Mick said just before saying, “But I am here, and I will play at the super bowl, and we will win the trophy. But, right now lets go out and celebrate. There is a huge party down the road and we are invited. Lets go there and we will go back to your place in the morning. But for now, you better go out there and pick up Danielle, she is worried sick about you.” Dane just stared, as he turned around and saw Danielle walking up to him.
“Are you all right?” Danielle asked worryingly. Dane just put a hand on her shoulder and comforted her.
“I am all right. I totally destroyed that angry man striving for blood. But for now, I have two of the best football players on my team now, Mick and Johnny. Johnny was the one that just recently joined the team. With them on the team we will no doubt win at the super bowl.” Dane said. “I am bleeding a little bit but I am all pumped up, as you can see, for the concert tomorrow night. All I will need is a few stitches and I will be good to go.” Dane said hugging her tightly with his arms around her just squeezing her against his chest.
Mick looked at the band and reviewed. “The fans were going wild for us but without you, it really did not feel right. We need you there to be a real band, but since you went for the football career, I put these guys into the football team. We will be the starting five players in the offensive team. With all of us united, we will be unstoppable.” Mick said leading the band back to the van where they were loaded up for the long ride home. Mick and Dane just stared at each other walking separate ways, with Danielle by Dane’s side and Robby and Cooper waiting in the car for the ride back home. Dane looked to Danielle.
“I think I am going to ride with the guys. It will be the last chance I have to hang with them before the super bowl. Tell Cooper and Robby, that I have no hard feelings for them and that I will see them at the party tonight.” he said before kissing Danielle on the cheek, with Dane walking away to go to the van, but Danielle just decided to follow him. She grabbed out her cell phone and let the guys know that they will see them at the party later that day. Dane and Danielle arrived at the van, as they jumped up into the back of the truck, where Dane grabbed his guitar. They then shut the doors, and tuned in on their guitars.

Chapter 10: Heading For The Game (Concert)

It came to the time to make the final decision on who the best band in history is. The crowd was still shouting like crazy while Dane was sitting there still having a hard time deciding on who he is going to vote for, but had a really hard time deciding. It was about ten minutes after the bandathon when the fans finally made their decisions. The final outcome was outstanding to Dane and his girlfriend Danielle, since the fans decided to vote for Dane. Dane and the bands just looked at the fans and were amazed at how the fans decided. Jimmy held his thumbs up, and called Dane up there to the stage to congratulate him for winning the battle of the bands without even entering that final competition. Danielle looked at him and then the others and pushed him lightly to signal for him to go up to the stage for the celebrations.
Dane just kept looking back and forth from the crowd to the bands with hesitation on if he should go crazy or if he should just be the same Dane that he has been during the whole band concert. Before walking to the stage, he replied to Jimmy with a thumbs up, as he wanted the win more than the others, but even refusing to enter the competition, he ended up with the win. He turned around with his back facing the stage, and excitedly he lifted his arms up in victory. Then, he turned back around so that he was facing the stage, and tried to leap up so he could get up to the top of the stage. He remained cautioned when he was trying to get up there so that he did not have to go back to the hospital with another head injury. When he jumped up, he grabbed the stage edges and pulled himself up onto the stage, standing up. Finally, he got up to the stage and he walked over to the bands, and hugged each one of them. This was not always the thing to do in a celebration to Dane but he was a little more excited than he thought he would be.
Once he was done with the band, he turned back around to face the audience and lifted his hands up. Doing so, he moved his ring finger, thumb, and pinky finger down revealing the peace sign that he had been using every time he won an award for something. The crowd went crazy, craving the appearance of Dane Gallagos since he arrived at the concert. According to the band, the audience came to see Dane play again out in Detroit, but Dane did not believe that. He believed that the crowd came to see a huge concert with the two bands that have deserved an applause. The truth about the whole voting thing was that the fans could not decide on which of the bands they should choose, so they voted for Dane. And with the fingers up and himself over by the edge of the stage, he was a little more lucky not to fall off the stage again than he was to earn that award.
You could hear a very long applause for Dane and the bands of The American Dream and Another Lost Memory, but Dane just quit celebrating all together since he feared that he would fall off the stage again. The flashback came back to him as a weird face came upon him, as he relived the horror in his memories. The fans stop cheering and clapping when they saw him turn around, as the bands just stared at him confusedly. Danielle just stared at him too, as Dane just turned back around and jumped off the stage trying to land on his feet. It was not very lucky for Dane when he jumped for the crowd surfing because the crowd was unable to catch him and hold him up long enough to pass him on to the other person around them, but there was a huge trampoline down by the audiences stand. Since the man in the front row noticed that this was going to happen, the trampoline was going to be set there for his protection. This trampoline came from the man in the front row who enjoyed his time by jumping up and down on it exercising trying to watch the performances. I know you would not even imagine that a man would exercise and watch the performances, but this one man was smart enough to use it to keep his sights cleared and keep Dane safe.
When Dane fell down onto the trampoline, he was able to fly back up into the air and land on the stage. To the band it looked like Dane was trying to commit suicide in this act to crowd surf during his celebration. The band grabbed him and pulled him back so that he was not anxious to jump back down and try to crowd surf again. Danielle jumped up from her seat and ran to the stage. Once she got there, she jumped up with a hold of the stage helping her get up onto the stage to comfort Dane. He usually gets this whacko when he is excited, so if anybody trying to excite him or surprise him, he would either drink or go totally retarded.
Dane looked over to the band members and whispered to them. “Hey guys. I have to get going I have some business to take care of. It is not like I do not like you or anything, it is just that I have to do something that might change my life forever. I will see you guys later, and call me later because I have some plans for you guys once I get an answer out of my girl about this, all right?” Dane then went to Danielle and wrapped his arms around her waist and asked. “Hey. Lets get out of here. We got a little something we have to take care of.” He then sat himself down on the edge of the stage and pushed himself off, in order to land on his feet. He then helped Danielle down onto the floor from the top of the stage.
Dane then walked through the crowd smacking the fans hands, as he tried to get through the crowd to the door. Danielle just followed him on the way to the door, wondering what the thing that they had to do was. Dane just turned his head to her and smiled, as he pushed the door open, so he could get out of the concert with his head raised up high with his ideas hidden. Going out to the parking lot he had his finally chance to speak before he finally got a chance to propose. “Sorry about leaving so quickly, but I have to get ready for my concert later tonight. I got a call earlier, and they rescheduled it for about nine o’clock tonight. I have to get some rest and prepare for the huge concert, but I will not have many people watching it this time around. But, we have to go and take a road trip, so we better get there before seven so we could get all the way to California by eight o’clock, so that I can get my stuff ready and work on my tune up and practice for the concert.”
“Oh. All right. W better get back to my place and get everything ready. Bt do not rush me because it might take me about thirty minutes to get my make up done and my clothes changed.” Danielle said walking with him to Robby and Cooper’s car, with them both waiting in it. Robby opened his door up, and popped out to scare Dane. Robby grabbed a hold of the door handle, and pulled the car door open. He just looked at Dane with a little grin, but Cooper just stared at him with an evil smirk expression on his face. Dane jumped into the car, and scooted over to the other side so that he was on the right side of the car. Danielle followed him into the car, as she was sitting in the middle with her head laying on Dane’s shoulder, while Robby shut the door so they did not fall out of the car as they were moving. Robby opened his door back up and got in. With the keys in the ignition he would twist the key around and push on the skinny petal to leave the parking lot.
“Why were you in such a hurry?” Robby asked looking to find out what was up with Dane.
“Yeah Dane. What is going on with you? I saw you earlier, and I am wondering, what the heck you were thinking when you jumped off the stage for the crowd surfing,” said Cooper leaning back against his seat.
“I will tell you guys a little later. I just have something I have to do before the concert, and it will be life changing.” Too bad for Dane, Danielle listened into the conversation wishing that she would not have with her head still laying on his shoulder. “So. What were doing sitting out here in the car while I was celebrating?”
“Well. We have a little camera in the middle of the auditorium so that we know what is going on while the bands are playing. It is not too big of a deal but we really stayed out here so that when you guys were ready to go we would be here waiting, so we could get going to the concert that happens in about two hours. Why weren’t you here earlier? We have to be in California in about an hour.” Asked Cooper.
“No we do not. We have around three hours. Unless my stupid watch is off by an hour.”
“Your watch must be off by an hour, because my watch is solar powered. We have to get there in about an hour, so we do not have enough time to go and get your stuff. I sure hope you have everything you will need to last you four hours, or else you are out of luck. Hate to say.” Robby said as they stayed on the road for the extra hour, as Danielle and Dane were fast asleep the whole hour that they were on the road. Robby and Cooper just exchanged glances at Danielle and Dane before just giving up. Good thing they did because if they did not stop, then they might have gotten in a car crash, because they were only a couple minutes away for a huge crash. But before they did, Robby pushed on the brakes and held off the huge crash for another time.
It was an hour later when Robby drove the car into the parking lot of the California Stadium where Dane’s band had to play at for the half time show. They were supposed to be playing at the following week’s game, but the band could not make it to the game because their lead guitarist was sick. Once the car pulled into the parking lot, Robby yelled behind him at Danielle and Dane.
“Hey guys, wake up!” Robby yelled before turning off the car by twisting the key in the ignition the opposite way that he did to turn the car on. But luckily for Dane, being the sleeper he was, they still had thirty minutes left in the first half before it was time for the halftime show. Robby grabbed a hold of the doorknob and pushed it down so that he could push the door wide open with his arms. Following this, he moved his leg out towards the door, and stepped his foot down onto the ground, allowing him to get out of the car. He then grabbed the keys and pulled them out, excited to be seeing the California and Texas game. Following this, he pushed the door shut so that when he tried to open Dane’s door, he did not smack himself into the door accidentally.
He turned himself around and walked towards Dane’s car door and grabbed onto the door handle and pulled on it so that he could open it up and let Dane and Danielle out. Once he had the door all the way open, he grabbed onto Dane’s shirt and dragged him out of the car onto his feet. Dane then suddenly woke up, but while he was stretching, he fell back and hit the car door. Cooper then got out of the car and walked around the front of it to meet Dane, Danielle, and Robby on the other side. Danielle looked towards the stadium and she was shocked at how Texas was leading California by twenty one points. Dane then just turned to the scoreboard and saw that it was first down with California controlling the ball. Dane just started to walk his way slowly to the stadium doors with Robby, Cooper, and Danielle following him. Once he got there, he just pulled an identification tag to show that he really was who he was. Danielle was then giving a free ticket for being the girlfriend of the biggest lead singer of all time. That was one thing that most people do not allow out there at the football games, handing out tickets to band members’ relatives, but this man was very appreciative for Dane and his band.
Robby started walking in front of Dane on the way to the bleachers where there were free places where nobody was sitting, where he kept places for Cooper and Danielle safe. Dane though, went over to the side where he prepared himself for the performance being early enough for practice. He was not the only person early, the other band members were there as well, standing out there by their cars, playing for the incoming and outgoing fans. Dane though did not know that they were there until he heard the guitarist Mick playing really nice and loud. Dane then hearing the guitar player, started to tune himself and pump himself up while playing his guitar on his way to the parking lot. On his way, he decided to stop down by the ticket booth to meet with the fans down there.
One of the men from the booth walked out to greet the lead singer of the biggest rookie band in the state of Texas. “Hey. I see that you have showed up, I really did not think that you would live for us to see this night.” The man said looking at Dane with disgust.
Dane got furious and grabbed the man by the collar. “Whoa there. If you want to talk to me that way I will have no choice but to tackle your butt. I came here for the halftime show and get you guys more tickets sold, and this is the respect I get for doing so. It is my fault that you still got the job anyway. It was 1996 when I went out there and made eight touchdowns in a game and gave you guys that record, so give me some respect you worthless peace of crap. And people from all across America came here to see me and that gave you guys your money, so I would not mess with me if I were you.” Dane is not this way most of the time but he was not as relaxed as he usually was at these kind of games and with the disrespectful punks who screw with his mind.
Robby and Cooper then walked straight up to that area and just stared at Dane and grabbed his arms. “Whoa there Dane. Just calm down. You do not want to go and fight this guy just yet, we only have about three and a half minutes until the big halftime show so you better go get ready.” Robby and Cooper then walked away from him staring back at the man behind the counter and pointed to him with disgust and fled from the area.
Meanwhile Dane was still standing there staring him down with a look of disaster on his face. He just pointed to him, before turning around to make his back face the man at the booth, and walked off. He went straight to the game and stood down by the bleachers with his mind staring down on the game. Noticing that the Cowboys were down by fourteen points with the score being twenty one to thirty five with the favor being on the Chief’s side of the score.
This moment in the game was more important to the Cowboys than it was to the Chief’s in any part of the games they have been in. Texas is in some serious trouble, and with Danny Horrus out there with his rushing block power, they may have been in more trouble than the coach expected. Danny was down at the end of the linebackers line and saw Jimmy Horner out there waiting for the ball and the rush. This was not normal for the Chiefs having known what they were going to do before they do it, but it might keep the advantage for the Kansas City defense. There was a new player out there though, and that new player was named Kevin Golfield and this was the major wildcard for Texas.
The hike was prepared to be made by the center to the quarterback, with Goldman there prepared for the play. The quarterback though, decided that it might be better to pass, but he had faith in his other teammates. So when he got the ball, he passed it over to Goldman being exactly where the Chief’s believed that they were going to give it to, so the whole team rushed in to take out Goldman, but he just threw it out to Golfield for the pass down at the twenty yard line. This pass did not end there, since Golfield was a quick rusher, he pushed his way away from the player that was guarding him all the way to the one yard line. There, he just leaped into the air, and rolled in to land a celebration touchdown. Back by the men standing waiting for their time to play their defense, he slapped the hands of the offense men in congratulations.
But, they should not celebrate just yet they only had a minute yet and they were down by a touchdown. The kicker just rushed out onto the field ready to make the extra point but he just turned his head to the man in front of him and pointed out to the touchdown line. He pulled back and lifted an arm up into the air signaling for the kick, but when he ran up there, he picked up the ball and ran right through the men easily to get the two point conversion. The players could hear the crowd cheering for them as they got this large look on their face pumped up by the crowd. The kicker looked at the players out on the other side of the field and studied their positions and found an opening.
Dane watched them and pointed out to the quicker player, and the kicker knew to kick it to the easy fumbler so that they could get that ball back and be closer to the goal line. Without hesitation, he ran straight up and kicked it up into the air to make it hit the fast running rusher knowing that it would be easy to fumble the ball on him. The defense men covered the man, and the special linebacker for the Cowboys and got ready for his spot. He finally found an opening in the rushers arms, and running up to him, he swatted the ball out of his hands while taking him down, allowing the man beside him to pick it up. The other man rushed right through the defense men but was not very lucky in the final couple seconds in the game when a player ran straight after him and tackled him at the touchdown line which totally squashed him down on his arm, crushing it. He just laid there rolling around on his arm waiting for help for his arm.
Paramedics finally rushed to the field to get im up onto a stretcher, with the players staring down at him knowing that this game might be over with their best defense man injured. But the coach just remembered Dane’s football experience and turned to him.
” Hey Dane, we need your help out there. You are our only option left and without you, we have no chance of going off to the super bowl. Just help us for this final game, and maybe if you want to play some more come here and see me afterwards. We need you more than ever with our best player out with an injury and we need to keep them from scoring in the next half, so are you in?” The coach asked being very convincing.
“I do not know right now. I will get you my answer after the halftime show. I will think about helping you out for this game but do not expect me to help you in any of the other games. My football career is over, but it will feel good to go out there again in front of the fans with them cheering me on. But I have to go now and get my stuff ready for the half time show that goes on in about ten minutes.” Dane replied walking to the parking ,lot to get his stuff all organized and his guitar all tuned up and ready for the huge gig. Mick looked towards Dane and nodded.
“Go on out there and do what you do best, and maybe your team will go to the super bowl. As they said, they need you more than ever and maybe it will be a good idea to go out there and help your former team out. But until then, concentrate on your music and do not be nervous out there this time because Danielle will be out there watching you.” he said laughing thinking that it was going to be a real joke to him, but it just frustrated him even more. “Whoa calm down there. Hold your anger and your frustration of the game and injure some people and totally annihilate that Chief’s defense and offense because all of Texas is rooting for you to brig this team to the super bowl to face off with the Patriots. Get prepared and let the crowd guide you along the way and remember that the fans will love you no matter what decision you make for the team. Mister quarter back better be ready for the rushes and the passes because you will relive your childhood before the retiration from football in 1997 for your singing career after you and your team won the super bowl. Bring all you can bring and do not put any pressure on yourself out there because being a quarter back and a huge rusher, you are the real deal.”
“But I have something I must do before I play, but I really do not feel like doing both of them. I must ask you, can I just skip out on the performance and go to the team for preparation for the final two quarters? I am doing this for the fans and not for myself, so I must forget about the whole performance and get into the rushing mood. Good luck out there with the band and with your singing because you are a better singer than I am, and I will see you after the game.” Dane said walking off away from him to go to the dressing room with the team to pump up for the huge final half of the super bowl qualifying.

A Danomic Dream – chapter 9

Chapter 9: The Grand Finale

Once the curtains closed up, Dane turned to the band and he just thought about how good of friends they were. “Well. You guys in on the movie?” Dane asked with his head filled with ideas for his next song.
“Yeah, sure. We are in, but that is only if it ends up coming out on top. But for now, lets worry about the finale including us and The American Dream. What is your big idea?” Gene asked curiously looking at Dane and then at the other members. Jerry just turned to face Dane with curiosity.
“Yeah, what is the big idea for the finale? You might as well tell us now, since we are here anyway. But if you do not want to tell us right now, we can wait until later. We understand that you might not want to tell one band before you tell the other, but we are just really curious. What will we be doing during the finale so that we can be ready to go and prepared to go out there and play a song or two.” Jerry still looked at Dane waiting for the answer, thinking that he might tell them if he bugs him enough.
“Well. You remember the Long Lost Road To London? There will not be any singing in this, but we will all be playing our instruments and trying to overpower the other team with the sound of Rock And Roll. This will be a judged event by the fans, and maybe there will be an award for the winner. But the only catch is I am not going to be in this final part because I do not think it is fair to play on one side and not the other. So you better get prepared because you only have about a ten minute brake before it. All I have to say is, good luck to you guys and I will see you after the finals and maybe I will give you guys free tickets to my concert tomorrow.” Dane said grabbing the doorknob and twisted it to the right. Doing so, he pulled it open and started to walk out with the band just looking at each other confused.
While Dane was in the hallway, he went up to the soda machine and punched it hard, and watched a soda fall into the slot. He reached into the slot and pulled it out, studying the machine, wondering if anybody was controlling the machine. He stared into the little hole there in the middle of the machine, as he saw a man sitting there inside of it. The midget sitting there was controlling the machine, and that was the reason why he got five mountain dews at a time when he hit the button. He waved in there and called for another Mountain Dew but he just shook his head, no. Danielle was still waiting down by the door, waiting for Dane to go and see her by the door. She knew that the concert was over because she saw the people walk out of the auditorium, so she decided to walk on her way down the hallway to look for Dane.
Dane noticed that it was five minutes past the time he was supposed to see Danielle at, so he decided to turn around and walk off to look for her. Danielle looked down the hallway and saw Dane walk up looking for her.
“Hey Danielle. Sorry that I am late. I got held up by a midget in the pop machine,” he said suddenly remembering that he was being racist, so he just hit himself in the head, before continuing on. “So, you ready to see the showdown in a couple minutes. I will be sitting there with you throughout all of it. But I better get back to American Dreamers, so that I can go and speak with them about the whole showdown. Do you want to come with me?” Dane just looked into her eyes making her say yes whenever he asks her a question.
“You know you do not like you looking at me like that. But I guess it does not matter, because either way I was going to say yes. So, when are we going to be going there? But I got news for you. Your parents, Robby, and Cooper are there to see the bands and they enjoyed the whole concert since you were there. We better get going if we are going to get to them at all.” Danielle said looking at his eyes feeling safe, as she waited for him to lead.
Dane turned around and started to walk his way back down the hallway to a lightened up room to meet with American Dreamers to give them the news. Dane walked his way into the room and looked at the guys. “All right. It is about time for the concert. Just pick your favorite song and get ready for the big finale. It will be a showdown between you and Gene’s band. You better be ready because they are really good, but remember there will be no singing, just instrument playing. This is because the whole thing will be done at the same time which makes the judging a little bit harder to do. I will be out there in the audience to help the people vote for their favorite band performance, and this is because I do not feel like going down and being with one band and then have to make a hard decision on which band I will choose. It is just a little bit harder than I have ever expected, so good luck out there and it is about time to get this started. I will see you guys after the performance, and I will give you a rating on the performance, and this performance will be used in my big video, ’Hall of Fame-A Battle Of The Bands Finale.’ How would you like to be included in that movie?”
“All right. You have our permission to put our performance into this video you are making and we will try our best to make this video rock. But who else will be in this hall of fame video?” Jimmy asked looking at Dane with some curiosity.
“To be truthful, I am also putting in ’Another American Battle’ and ’The Lost American.’ These bands are really good and they will be competing next week in another battle of the bands. But if you can think of any more than just call me up and I will go and check them out. But just get ready, because you only have two minutes.” Dane then just rushed to the stairs and raced down them with Danielle and thought about the whole band performance. He then rushed himself straight down the hallway and to the audience. He went into the front row and stood there waiting for the bands to be ready. Then he jumped over the rail and rushed up the steps to go behind the curtain.
“Are you bands ready yet? These fans are going crazy, they really love you guys.” he looked at the bands and wondered about how it would end up.
“Yeah. My bands ready, but the other band is still getting ready with their amps and their drummers slowing down because he is exhausted.” Jimmy said looking at the curtain, hearing the fans shouting out the name of the band. “I guess they really do love us.” He sat down on his stool and held his guitar and was all ready to get the show on the road. Dane looked out the curtain and then shut them again, as a guy in the second row threw a tomato at him. The audience thought it was funny, but Dane did not. Dane looked down at the stage and lifted up a tomato, and opened the curtain up and threw a tomato at the guy in the second row. Dane laughed while closing the curtain, not taking it serious anymore but making it look like fun.
Another Lost Memory, walked up the steps finally about two minutes after the whole tomato throwing incident. Dane just looked at them.
“Where were you? These fans are restless. They have been throwing tomatoes at the stage, and the whole stage is filled up of tomatoes. But you only have two minutes to get ready, it is almost time to get out there on the stage, so you need to be ready when I open up the curtain because I am video taping this whole performance since I have permission from all of you. I will be out sitting in my front row seat, down by the stage. When you are ready just pull the curtain and quickly get yourself ready and start playing at the same time. Since all of you play with guitars or drums, then I guess you are all ready. Good luck to all of you and I will see you after the show.” Dane said jumping from the stage and landing on his feet. He then walked over to his chair and sat down in it waiting for the bands to be ready.
“Don’t you think you were a little hard on them? They work hard and they need as much time as they can have. Just give them a break and they will try their hardest to get as far as they can get. I mean, Another Lost Memory just got done with their part of the concert and they are getting old. They need time to recuperate and do the best they can, and they need your help to do it, but they will not do what you ask them to do if you keep on yelling at them like that. They have tried their hardest and they will keep on doing so if you give them the chance to earn their trust. Quit being so hard on them and they will quit being so hard on you. Give them a chance for trust and they will earn your full trust.” Danielle said not yelling but just saying. The bands just pulled the lever to open the curtains, as they started to get the grand finale on the roll.

A Danomic Dream – Chapter 8

Chapter 8: Farewell Concert P.2 The Road To “Another Lost Memory” Concert

It was finally the end of the American Dreamers concert when the curtains slowly closed up, and the stage disappeared from the sights of the audience. You could hear the crowd shout out and clap their hands in cheer, as they tried to get out their love for the legend of the band, and for congratulation for being able to play for this band legend. Dane looked to the band one last time.
“I guess this is the last time I get to see you guys play, or anybody out there. I guess it was a great and long ride to stardom and I have to say, good luck with the future.” He turned around to face the door but the members grabbed him by the shoulder. They just twisted him around.
“This is not over unless we say it is over. Sure we are retiring but this does not mean that we can not play again. We will still be out there when you need a little help controlling your band or finding the perfect song or something like that. We are here for you man, like you were there for us.” Jeremy said turning around and walking back to his guitar. Dane turned his head to Jeremy as he just smiled and walked to the exiting door. Looking towards the door he stretched out his right arm and grabbed a hold of the door knob. He just turned his head back to him, and twisted the doorknob, so that he would be able to open it. As he twisted it, he pulled on the door knob and opened the door up.
“See you guys later.” Dane said once the door opened, so he exited out of the room walking into the hallway. Once he was in the hall more fan ran right back to him to greet him in the hallway, after waiting for everyone to leave the place, and be able to get an autograph. Dane looked to them and said. “Well. I guess I could give you an autograph now that the concert is over.” He said accepting the CD’s and the pictures and pulled a black pen out of his left pocket and looked down the hall at American Dreamers and Another Lost Memory. He remembered that the other concert was going to occur in an hour.
He looked back to the fans next to him, and then saw Danielle walking down the hallway towards him. But, he just looked down at the pen and the paper, and clicked it, so that he could sign the poster there in his hands. “Hey. I did not even know that my face was on a poster. When did this come out?” He asked the fan confused.
Danielle answered for her. “I decided to create it and sell it in stores. Your band thought it would be a great idea, since I knew that you were going to go and sign up for the concert anyway. I called up American Dreams and Another Lost Memory, while you were sleeping in the ambulance. That is why I was so tired, and I called your friends and called to get them to give them away on the internet. These fans decided to buy them and come here for the autograph to them. Everybody thought it would be a good idea for a welcome back present. A bunch of fans, and to be able to play with two of the biggest legends in the USA. I hope you did not mind.” Dane walked up to her while she was standing in the hall and hugged her.
“Thank you. It feels great to be back here playing music after five years of stillness. That coma took a lot out of me, but I guess it feels better to have friends here to guide me along the way. I have a present for you, but it is still getting created in the shops. It costs millions plus, and I thought that if I had the raise then I guess I would spend it on something special. You will love it, and it just might change our lives and everyone’s around us. Well, wish me luck for the big concert in about an hour, and I guess we should have a farewell song with both bands. I got the perfect one for us to perform, and you will all love it.” Dane said turning to the fans, before turning back to Danielle and giving her a pretty long and passionate kiss. This was going to be a pretty long night for both of them, and the end of the week will become much bigger.
Dane let go of her and looked at the bands. “Thanks guys. I did not expect you guys to help me out, and I am glad you did. I am going to be outside with Danielle and the fans alright? I will see you guys in about thirty minutes. I have to go and give these kids thirty minutes of fun, and I will meet you guys down by the stage, and I will get everything ready when I return.” he said to the band, before turning to the fans. “Are you guys ready for a thirty minute fun time?” Dane just stared at the kids and ran out the door and saw a football player standing there by the door waiting. “And let me guess. You asked Ryan McGorn to wait for me here too?” The man just looked at him.
“I thought you would want to play a little catch or football here to entertain the kids. That is why I am here.” Ryan said tossing the football to Dane, and allowing him to catch it.
“Or, better yet, lets give these kids a chance to play a little football themselves. We could teach these kids how to play some professional football, and when I go in to get the concert started, then you could help these kids with their techniques. I mean, they might be some good football players when they get older. You ever heard of Powerpuff, Ryan?” Dane asked him looking at the girls and guys. He pointed to a sixteen year old and said. “Well. Aren’t you a football player for the Lakeville Varsity Football team? I heard you were good. How about you get one of your buddies here and we’ll play a game.”
“Sorry. I just got out of a very rough practice about three hours ago. Maybe at one of your concerts down in Lakeville. Maybe then, I can get my whole football team together after the concert. If you can find enough players to play us. But remember, we have injured fifteen kids last season, and these guys are tough.” The little boy said looking at the football. “But for now, lets just play a little catch until the big concert later tonight and maybe you could live to play that guitar of yours in the concert.
Ryan looked at the kid and called for the ball from Dane. Dane backed up a few yards and pointed the football at Ryan, and pulled his arm back and released it forward, high up in the air. This ball flew about ten yards to Ryan, but he could not catch it standing up. Ryan saw the football fly behind him, so he jumped backwards and dove for the ball. He caught it right into his hands as he looked up at Dane and the others. “That is what you have to do when you can not catch the ball while standing up. That dive is usually very painful if you do not fall in the right position on your way down. This move was a real outstanding dive in the football league according to the skills of the National Football League players. Brett Fieldings was one of the players to do this move during the finals, and he was famous for this catch until Rondelle Wonder did it about a year ago. How do I know this? You could say that I watch football a little too much from other sides and not enough from my own side, but that is one of the only ways to get by in the league. Study your opponents at all times, and know where they are going to go whenever you throw the ball. Same thing is used in Hockey, Basketball, Tennis, and many more sports,” Ryan just continued on but Jeremy started whispering to his friend Brad.
“This guy talks a little too much, don’t you think? What a know it all.” Jeremy said as Brad just nodded, acting like he was listening to him. Brad was interested in football, so he just listened to Ryan for the information he will need when he gets into the football leagues such as the National Football League and the NCAA teams.
Dane watched Ryan get up and just turned to Jeremy before just shaking his head with disgust. Ryan then turned to Jeremy and then turned to Dane and shrugged. Ryan pointed to Dane, and pulled his arm back with the football and pointed it towards him. Pulling back the football, he gripped the football tight, before releasing it right in the air. Dane though knew where it was going to go, so he just leaped up into the air, since the ball was going to go over his head, and just barely caught it in his hands. He shook his right hand a little bit since at the high speed, the strength made the catch hurt.
Ryan said. “There is the power throw. Watch out for it, because if it hit you in the face it could make your nose bleed for a pretty darn long time. So, catch it with both hands and it will only hurt half the amount that it does with only one hand. So, keep your face covered at all times, and you will not get hurt, but maybe your hands will. This technique of catching includes the diamond catching symbol. But here is a new technique that most of you will find a little difficult but if you pay attention then it really will not.” Ryan then looked at Dane and signaled for him to throw it back to him. Dane just pulled back a couple yards, and chucked it down about twelve yards a little low so that Ryan could demonstrate this other technique. It was going down low, so Ryan jumped down lowering himself on the floor though still on his feet, falling backwards with his arms down like a bowl as the ball hit his arms. The ball was caught in his bowl shaped arms, as he hit the ground with the ball still in his arms.
“That is how you catch a ball that is thrown beneath your waist. But if it is below your knees, you dive backwards and flip your hands so that they are palm up, so that it touches your hands and lays there for the while. That in fact is noticed as a catch and it could be a first down or a second or third or whatever. If you catch it on Third down and it is a first down then it is noticed as a conversion. Here’s a demonstration. It is third down, with three yards to go.” Ryan said jumping up onto his feet. He then dropped back a couple yards, and pulled his arms back, so that he could release it at anytime. With his arms pulled back, Dane was ready to catch as Ryan chucked it about twelve yards. It was above Dane’s waist, so he dropped back, and held up the diamond and the ball fell flat into his hand. “That is a catch, and a twelve yard gain. And that is about all you need to know to play good football.” Ryan said walking forward to Dane and reached out his hand to shake Dane’s. “Great job teaching man. You should play football yourself. But, I have to get going. I have to get to football practice within two hours and the field is about an hour and a half away. I will see you later.” Ryan turned around and walked off to his car.
Dane looked at the kids and turned around to go into the stadium. As he walked in, he saw Danielle standing there with her hands ready to wrap around him. Dane lifted up Danielle, and said. “Did you see that? Ryan McGorn came here to play some football with me. But I got to go get ready for the performance. I will see you a little bit later.” he said kissing her on the cheek before dropping her and walking down the hallway. He just then just noticed the pop machine again, but ignored it and walked over to the entrance door to the stage where the band was. He slowly extended his arm out to the door, and twisted the doorknob to the right, and pulled on it to open the door. “Hey guys. How’s the preparations going?” He yelled up the stairs, as he started to walk up them. “Only five minutes left guys. You ready for the big finale?” He said going up to his guitar and hooking it up to his amp and got it ready to tune up. Dane then just looked at the curtain and looked a little excited for the next song or two.
“How did the whole football thing go?” Gene asked looking towards Dane and then to his guitar to tune it up. “I guess you got a little more on your hands than anyone ever expected. You got talent, and that is why we picked you to play in this concert with us and being your idols, I guess we had to. We got a message about you wanting to meet us and hang with us, and we thought we would let you join us for a couple songs for our farewell concert. Glad that we did, because you are a great guy to hang with. Maybe we could meet each other again somewhere. When is your next concert and where?”
“I do not exactly know, but I am thinking about making it up there in Lakeville, you guys are invited to come and check it out. If you think I am good now, just wait until I show you my better songs. As you may know I make these songs out of my dreams and memories from the past, and how I lived them and survived the heartaches in life. Maybe I will even dedicate a song to you guys someday, and give you a little boost in showbiz in my first video someday. I already have my video entered into Hollywood, and I thought that you guys would want to join in it. I am thinking about going in and calling it, ’another memory lost in stardom.’ I will even have my own, yours, and American Dreamers, music videos and songs in it. My friends thought it would be a great idea to dedicate it to the two retiring legends.” He said having to stop as the announcer announces the band to perform for them, as they all got into their positions and got ready to play. The curtain opened and the concert began to thunder across the stadium with the fans shouting out their names. Dane could hear them screaming, as he started to play with all his might and the concert was finally started.

Chapter 7: The Farewell Concert: part one-American Dreamers

The ambulance pulled into the lot once the excitedness ended. You could see people walking from every corner; wearing their special band t-shirts with fire red sweatpants. American Dreamer had way more fans than ‘Danomic Memories’ ever had, but that was because they were playing a lot longer than Dane’s band. The doors to greet the fans inside of the stadium, wearing their farewell T-shirts, crowded out Another Lost Memory and tons of face paint running down their cheeks. The fans were running around screaming excitedly seeing Another Lost Memory live for the farewell concert. The fans were yelling so loud, Dane could not even hear himself think, even being in the ambulance did not even help him any. Danielle was sitting in the ambulance with her arms wrapped around him, trying to keep from screaming too loudly, or screaming at all at that.
Dane reached for the door and pushed it open with tons of fans standing there by the door. It amazed Dane to see his band standing there by the door knowing that he was there in the ambulance really surprised him to the maximum. His fans were there standing next to the band, giving best wishes for Dane and Danielle on full recovery. Dane just slipped down out of the ambulance to greet his fans, with them wondering what he was doing at the concert, since they have not seen him in years. The band members reached in and hugged Dane, still shocked about seeing him there and alive. Another American Dream of course, was still standing by the doors wondering what was going on over by where Dane is. Another American Dream started walking over to the ambulance when they noticed that Dane Gallagos and the band were standing there celebrating the battle of the bands about two months earlier.
Gene looked at Dane a little confused. “What are you guys doing here anyway? I thought you ere in a coma.” Dane just stared at him and replied.
“You did not think I was going to make it, only because I was out for five years, people told me. But I got news for you all; I am back and better than ever. I got my life straightened out, so I will be back playing in a couple days. Remember, my bands playing for all of you Thursday, and this band will be like no other. I will be playing that guitar, but I will also be playing the drums at the same time and with my head. So do not miss it, because if you do, I will find you.” he said pointing to all of them. They all knew that the final thing he said was just a joke, so they just laughed. Dane too broke out in laughter over his own phrase.
“Are we just going to sit here and chit chat or are we going to go and get this band started?” Gene said as Dane looked at him confusingly.
“We? Don’t you mean you?”
“No. I mean us. You, me, and our bands playing a song together for the first and final time. What do you think?” Danielle slapped Dane on the back.
“Come on. You know you want to play with your idols tonight, so just go out there and play a couple songs with them and I will take you back home. Your mom is still waiting to speak with you. Did you know that she was bawling her eyes out when she saw you awaken? She was so happy.” Danielle said, looking over to Gene and the rest of his band. “So are you in, Dane?”
“Of course I am in. Why wouldn’t I? They are only the single most popular band in all of the rock and roll genre. But what song will we do?” Dane asked confusedly.
Gene slapped him on the back and reply. “What is your favorite song of all time?”
Dane just gently slapped him back on the back and replied. “Well. It has got to be The Never Ending Story of Detroit . And since we are in Detroit, I guess it will be the better song to play together. I have practiced it for a long time, hoping to be able to be in a band like yours. And that is the reason I came here tonight, to see you guys play, but I guess my dream came true and then some.”
“Yeah. I guess we are in Detroit, and you know the lyrics and the guitar motions. We can do The Never Ending Story of Detroit for all the fans out there, both yours and mine. But you better get ready before the band starts. Your fans will be shocked to see you out there tonight, playing again. What do you guys think?” Gene Simmons said referring to the band. They did not exactly have an answer for him. The whole band just shrugged their shoulders and grinned. Danielle on the other hand, threw her arm over Dane’s shoulder.
“Good luck out there. I will be rooting for you in the front row.” Danielle said looking to Gene and the band once again. “And for you guys. Good luck out there, and do not fall off the stage like my clumsy boyfriend did. If you do, nobody will be there to catch you. See you all of you guys later.” Danielle finally finished, turning around and walking his way down the sidewalk to the enterance to the stadium. Dane just smiled excitedly knowing that he would be able to play with his idols Another American Dream and American Dreamers that night. He will be playing twice on the same day, once to Highway To Hell and once to Another Detroit Memory. This was definitely his special day.
Dane turned his head to Gene and signaled that they should be walking down to the stadium and get ready for the gig because it was only thirty minutes away. Dane knowing that Gene had more fans coming to see him, just turned around and walk his way past the cars surprisingly missing them all, since he was a little groggy from the awakening from his deep sleep. Everyone just watched him as he watched by, jumping out of their cars to follow him. He was not very much amazed that they were there to see him, since he was the best rookie band out there. Dane looked at his fans as he walked by, trying to ignore them since it was almost time for his gig. He only had ten minutes to prepare, since he was on with American Dreamers in fifteen, and in that five minutes he had to get his guitar ready and get up to the stage before the concert started. While he was going down the hallway he was thinking about Danielle, and how she sent him some good luck along the way to recovery. Dane was halfway down the hallway when more fans came out of the blackness of the room next to the pop machine where he was headed next. Still, he ignored them still trying to stay focused on the big concert, and how he could become a legend in rock and roll history. He stopped by the pop machine, and saw a keypad, where he could type in the special band code of American Dreamers. They gave him the code a while earlier over the phone, while he was getting ready to walk in. He reached into his jacket pocket and pulled out a tiny piece of paper with the code written on it. It had the first three songs on the Lost In London CD, which did not come to any surprise for Dane.
Dane looked down at the keypad and typed them all in. You would not see that sort of thing at all concerts, but this one was a real showdown between the two biggest bands in history. Looking to the pop machine buttons, he brought his fist to the mountain dew button and punched it hard, but not hard enough to break the machine. When the pop was coming down, Dane was surprised at what happened in that machine. When he leaned down and opened the slit, there were five mountain dew bottles laying there waiting to be picked up. It is the real deal to be a legend, since I can get unlimited pop anywhere you go. But if you are not a legend, but you are still a well known band, you get money for pop when you walk in. Luckily for Dane though, he was a friend of the legends so he got the code and the free perks.
Dane turned around just once more to see the enterance door to the stage, but he was not ready to go up there yet. Since he got five mountain dews, I guess he had to share them with somebody. Or, he could drink them all by himself, but this man was not anything close to greedy. He turned back around and saw an enterance to the crowd. When he was walking down the hallway to the door, he just remembered that if he was not careful, the fans would take him down with autographs and stuff like that. He was trying to be quiet, and he opened the door and got on his hands and knees and went through the crowd down by their feet to get to Danielle. “Danielle,” he whispered to her handing up a mountain dew. He then turned around and started crawling back through the crowd, and under the table to the door where he could get out. Dane popped up to his feet and went back out of the door with relief. Starting to walk to the stage, he noticed that the band was all ready and he was not. He walked straight through the door and walked up the steps with his guitar hurrying to get ready. Grabbing his amplifier, he plugged it into the guitar and tuned it a little bit before he was ready.
The members turned to him. “Where were you?” One of them asked suspiciously. “Get attacked by fans on your way here?
“Yeah. They were trampling me and begging me to sign their CD’s and everything. It took me a while to get away from them so I could get up here in times. Those fans were trampling me and everything. I see what it is like to be famous, but this never happened out there in Lakeville.” Dane said holding his guitar in place ready to start up the band. But American Dreamers still continued to talk for the next couple minutes.
“I still can’t believe that this is the last time we are going to be playing together. It has been fun playing with all of you these past thirty to forty years, but I guess it is time to take a rest in this legend in the making.” Dane just looked to them and felt a tear fall. His favorite bands are going to be retiring and he just can not give that up.
“It will be great to play with you guys for the first and I guess final time before your retirement. It has been great to hang with you guys today, and to still be alive to be in the farewell concert with all of you. I hope you feel the same.” Dane said hugging them. “But anyway, are you guys ready to perform? Lets make this concert count double what the others did, since you got the best rookie guitarist in the whole USA.”
“Yeah guys. It has been a great long ride with you guys and I wish that we could come back and play with each other in the future. Being the lead singer of this band it really hurts me to say goodbye to you all. It has been hard to come here tonight and play in front of all of these people here that came to see us here tonight, and it is an honor for us to see that we have a new member in our show tonight. Good luck in the future.” They finally finished up as the curtain raised and the show was on.
